If I hand't recently replaced the wipers myself, I still wouldn't have believed them, but this made me sure of it. In summary DON'T USE DOM'S

LIJ is a pretty good hospital. Overall, the nursing care is good and the it boasts a strong staff of physicians. However, the major complaint would be that Northshore is a nicer hospital, although the staff is probably a little better at LIJ. It is worth noting the the Northshore LIJ system has gone through layoffs recently which may impact patient care. In addition, the ER at LIJ is terrible. It is overcroweded and often has patient sin teh ahllway area. A new ER is under construction and when that is finished it should alleviate this major ER congestion.

They are not limited to christian and are will take down crosses in the room at request. they really are gifted in caring for the dying, as they even have a short order cook on each unit to make breakfast for the patients. In addition, visinting hours are 24/7.

Supersol was one of the first kosher supermarkets around. In its day it was the best. It still has some of those hard to find Kosher items. Prices are expensive for food, but average for kosher food. The major problem with supersol is that they have some of the worst fruit and vegetables anywhere and their produce is terrible. So it is worth going for those kosher odds and ends or meat, but otherwise, probably not worth the food.

In addition, they also have movies that can be rented for those who don not have net flicks.

Well not so hidden gem, but it is a great theatre. The location is great, there is good street parking. The movies are very reasonably priced and they often have interesting and semi artsy movies....
Well not so hidden gem, but it is a great theatre. The location is great, there is good street parking. The movies are very reasonably priced and they often have interesting and semi artsy movies. The other nice thing is that the movies rarely get super crwded and even on a Saturday night a ticket and decent seat can be obtained without advance purchase and long lines. Afterwards the tiown is pretty with a couple of coffee shops and low key bars.

This is the place to get those interesting movies in Long Island. While it may not be the pretiest theatre in the world, the price is reasonable and it often shows the hard to find--especially out on the island artsy movies. The screans and asthetics are merely average and you won't be wowed by the sound system but worth the trip nonetheless. Note that the parking lot is behind the movie theatre.

Want to find a group of friendly people of all ages and skills to run with then the Van Courtlandt track club is the place for you. The club meets Teusday nights - int eh summer at the track on 242 street and broadway and in teh winter at various other sites. On Saturdays at 8am y the handball courts by 241st street and Broadway. You do not have to be the fastest person in the school yard to join a track club so try out VCTC if you live in the Bronx, or anywhere else for that matter.
