Did you know we had our own minor league baseball team right here in brooklyn?
I've been to 2 games, and each time have had a blast. FYI--I'm not even a baseball fan! But, the cheering crowd, popcorn, and sing-a-longs made for a very fun evening. Plus, the stadium is brand new, it's easy to get to by subway or car, parking is ample, and you're right in coney island, where there's the beach, boardwalk, mini-golf, go-karts, etc. I'd recommend you venture out--it surprised me how entertaining the whole experience was.

Sneaker Corner is very overpriced. They try taking advantage of people. When they get early shipments of shoes they try selling them for much more then the real price. They do have a wide variety of sneakers. Their clothes selection is also pretty good. They also sell sports jerseys. Occasionally they have a famous athlete sign autographs.

More
If you just want to stick your face in the water and look at the fishies then stop by any major sporting goods chain store and pick up the items suggested on your cruise ship to-do list. If you want to do serious diving, you need to go to Stingray.
Pablo, the owner is an avid diver, as are his employees and they'll help you find everything you need for you underwater adventure or answer questions you have about equipment.
Not yet initiated into the wonders of scuba? Pablo organizes classes in the store (pool time is local, your certification dive is a quick weekend away) with PADI certified dive masters.
Since the store does cater to serious divers it can be a little intimidating to a newbie. Do a little research so you know vaguely what's in store, but don't be afraid to ask questions.

This park makes you feel like you're in Florida (or at least it makes this girl, who's spent about 10 days total of her life in Florida, feel as if she's in Florida). It juts right out into the New York Harbor, so it smells salty and sounds wave-y. There are a few benches and a lovely walkway lined with flowers, plus a nice patch of grass to spread out and picnic on. The Waterfront Museum, a floating barge with a circus show every Sunday, uses this pier as its home port. On Sundays you'll also find ... the Schnäck cart! Hot dogs, grilled corn, and even tofu skewers from everyone's favorite faux-German burger joint. And best of all, the whole park is surprisingly vacant. Even on weekends, there's usually plenty of space.

I would never ever return to this golf course again. Here is why: The course was filthy. There was bird crap and leaves all over the course. And the place is infested with mosquitoes and all kinds of bugs, so you need to cover yourself up in bug spray before stepping on the course. Also, there weren't many carts available to drive around the course. The staff is very rude too. I didn't find them helpful at all and there are a lot of them. It's hard to have a peaceful day golfing here. You might as well go to Dyker beach.

After arriving home from vacation we had a lot of film rolls that needed to be developed. My friends and I decided to go to the one-hour photo stores because they were faster instead of the overnight service. We decided to go to this store. It was small but that really didn’t matter. We got all five rolls done in a little more than and hour. The prints looked amazing and were done on genuine Kodak photo paper.
