I am not sure whether there is an actual museum here, or whether the title refers to the small area of informational plaques and posters near the lighthouse. I have a feeling that it is the latter. This lighthouse is definitely worth visiting. You can climb up on its ledge and look out on the water, or wander around the rocks by the water's edge. When you park and walk over to the lighthouse, you can sit on benches and check out the historical information.

The Lakeside women's club provides a variety of services to Lakeside residents and visitors, both female and male. When I was younger, I attended their crafts classes for girls. I think that they also host a variety of lectures. In the lobby, there is an informal library where you can check out books to read during your stay. They're mostly grocery store paperbacks--thrillers and romance novels--but there are some other, more substantive books thrown in. You can also donate books.

This is the only hotel in Lakeside, and it is not the kind of hotel you tend to see anymore. It is old and grand, not new and sterile. I have never stayed there, as my family has always rented houses, but I always enjoy wandering through the lobby and visiting the gift store and the fountain outside. There are meals on the weekend that are open to people not staying at the hotel.

This cute little store has a good selection of beers from microbreweries (and only microbreweries), both domestic and foreign. Some beers seem to tend to run out quickly, so if you see something you want, buy it. Across from the beer cooler wall is a wall of gourmet packaged foods from various countries, including rainbow striped pasta and different kids of hot sauce. Up front, there are fancy chocolates, cookies and candies. I enjoy the atmosphere of this store and the selection of international goodies that you don't see everday.

I did not go on any interviews for this agency because they didn't really have the kind of jobs I wanted and I didn't follow up enough, but it seems to be a good agency for people looking for financial jobs. The office is pleasant and the employees are friendly. Meeting with one of them to see what they might be able to do for you seems worthwhile.

Uncle Louis G's is a fun place to go on hot days and to bring friends who are visiting Brooklyn. I always enjoy trying out new ice flavors. My favorites are coconut, mango, and peanut butter chocolate cup. I always get scoops of two different flavors. They are cool about letting people do that. If you need to take it home, they will give you a cute special little take out cup. They even stay open in the winter, when they sell soup and other stuff.

I used to not like Kim's because I thought it was expensive and pretentious, but the last time I was there I realized that they have a good selection of underground stuff at decent prices, plus a whole wall of used CDs (which I had somehow never noticed before). I have heard some complaints about the staff, but other people have said they were helpful. I recommend checking this place out if you are looking for underground music.

I had a very bad experience with this agency. I was brought there by an online job posting for a job that looked good, but I was not told where the position was (just what type of place). When I got there, I was interviewed by an unprofessional woman who was rude and condescending to me. Besides making me wait half an hour (which I wouldn't have minded under other circumstances), she admitted that if she had looked more closely at my resume, she could have told me ahead of time that the anonymous place the job was at wasn't in line with what I want to do. Then she asked some very rude questions about my current position. I could not have imagined that anyone who makes money by getting people jobs would be so rude and unprofessional. Of course, other people who work there could be better, but I wanted to warn everyone about my experience.

Trash is a funny store. They have all sorts of random stuff lying around that you wouldn't normally expect to be sold in a record store, like boxes of old clothing on the floor below the CDs. It definitely has a unique atmosphere. A lot of kids go there to get underground music, and they also have shows there sometimes. They have new and used CDs and records, DVDs, a pretty cool book selection, and some random free stuff at the front entrance. Oh , the owner seems like a pretty cool guy too.

Awosting and Chinqueka are related camps for boys and girls, respectively, located on a lake in Bantam, Connecticut. This review is specifically for Chinqueka. It has cabins that have their own bathrooms but not showers (there is a separate shower house). There is a wide range of artistic and athletic activities, plus required swimming and boating lessons. There is (or at least was, when I was there) a system where campers earned stickers in each activity by performing certain tasks assigned to different levels, and received certificates at the end of camp with all the stickers on them. It wasn't my favorite camp experience, but a lot of the activities were fun.
