Crowded, closed attractions, terrible food 9/26/2015

I visited the park September 26, with my husband and our two children, as a nice outing for our daughters sixth birthday. We chose Austin Park n' Pizza after viewing the attractions listed on the website, it seemed to be a good range of variety. When we arrived at the park the arcade area was undergoing renovations, it was dark and overcrowded. Three of the attractions that had led us to choose this park were closed, the Moonwalk, the Swings and the Balloons were all unavailable. The buffet was under stocked at all times, there weren't any forks, the baked potato was inedible. The majority of the arcade games are not actually entertaining at all, the only reason they are played is to win tickets however in the interest of "going green" they don't actually dispense tickets, which is the only thing that makes those games any fun is seeing a long chain of tickets emerge. When attempting to redeem the points on our card we had to wait for the previous patrons to make their choices before we could even have our card scanned to know how many points we had to choose from, this is highly inefficient and frustrating especially for young children. If the attendants a won't take a moment to scan a card and tell you how many you have while the other customers make their choices than there should be a machine to swipe and check. With the over crowding, closed attractions and poor customer service the food wasn't the only thing to leave a bad taste in our mouths. The go-karts for kids were fun but took 45 minutes in line to ride. more

Expensive, Lousy Food, Rude Employees 12/30/2007

$14.95 (she happens to be 40" EXACTLY, under 40" is free - then it skyrockets to $14.95). The price would ALMOST be worth it if the employees actually moved any quicker than a snail's pace to get the lines moving along. When we went last night, it wasn't as busy as you think a place like this would be for a Saturday, but it took over 45 minutes at least for my husband and daughter to get on a go-cart only because the employees took their sweet time gassing up them up, it was frustrating. The bumper boats were just as bad, if you saw the guy working the controls it was actually humorous watching a human being move so slow with such an attitude. Not so funny however, was seeing him slam the gate in a little boy's face when the ride was full. I've never seen such a large group of bad apples working at one place in my life. Because of this, we spent most of our time waiting in line instead of having the fun that we paid for. We tried the buffet, which if you have read the other reviews, the pizza is absolutely terrible. And unless you like canadian bacon w/ pineapple, pepperoni, or sausage you are out of luck - they had like 5 of those flavors each. Banana pudding was the only desert. While I waited at the table with my daughter, my husband went up to get our drinks and was told we would have to go up and show our bracelets to get our cups and to make it worse, they charged him for his little pepsi cup and signed his bracelet. I'm sorry, that is just pathetic, you've already charged us over $50 to get in the place, now you want us to pay for a small pepsi? I plan on calling the manager about all this, I'm curious to hear what he/she has to say about our experience. If you're looking for a good time with your family, I suggest you save your money and aggravation by choosing another place. more

Great for kids 4/16/2006

This place is great for kids. It has plenty of arcade games and other activities (like a climbing wall) for the little kids. They have batting cages, which are fun. And also a little race way. The pizza is not that great. If you are an adult, you can tire of the place real quick. But take the little kids and you can watch them have fun! more

Austin's Park and Pizza 4/14/2006

It amazes me every time that I drive by this place how crowded and busy it is, I have to wonder if my family and neighbors experiences were the only bad ones. I was not impressed at all with this place from the construction to the employees to the outrageous prices. There were several things that I thought were not safe and I thought the fact that they were so crowded was a safety hazard and that possibly they were not following the fire laws, there were just too many people. My children had fun, but I have no intention of going back due to the unfriendly employees who most did not know what they were doing or were just plain rude the the customers. The pricing was way too high for most of the rides and the food which tasted awful. I must be too picky or I just had bad luck when we were there. more

good for a fun night out 4/6/2006

Austin Park & Pizza is a nice place to go with the kids. It is definitely a small amusement park here in town. The go karts are fun, as are the other outside activities. The pizza isn't that great. This is a nice place for kids, but it works well for adults too. The only downside is that the tickets are somewhat expensive and it's hard to buy things a la carte. more

Good for kids 12/8/2005

This park is fun. They have a variety of activities and seems to be taken well care of. We didn't like the food at all. Had that mass-production feel and taste. The go-karts were really fun. The laser tag was fun as well. It is a cute place even for a group of adults. more

kinda crowded 12/7/2005

We went here in search of family fun, but found some family headaches!! They have lots of things to do like go carts & games, rock climbing wall but the lines are long! This place would be better maybe on a day where not many people would be there. Prices were resonable and the kids did have some fun. Parking a small nightmare, go early maybe parking won't be a problem. It was clean and well taken care of. Workers were nice but very busy. I would recommend going there on a day where you can get this place without the long lines! more

Loads of Fun 11/17/2005

This is a huge place kids and adults will enjoy. They offer all you can eat pizza, putt putt golf, bumper boats, batting cages and a lot more. Be prepared to spend the entire day there. They have special pricing on packages if you want to participate in all the activities or you can buy them separately. more

Family Fun 9/19/2005

Austins Park and Pizza would be a great place to bring your family for a day of fun if it wasn't so crowded. They have go carts and arcade games but you often have to wait a long time to get a turn. The pizza was alright, not the best I've ever had. If you can go when it isn't crowded you will have a blast. more

Crowds and an Uncaring Staff Keep Us Away 9/13/2005

Austins Park and Pizza is completely overrated. However, as a recreational activitiy, its almost unavoidable when there aren't many places to choose from. I have come and left this place too many times due to long lines, screaming children (and adults!), and a teenaged staff who cares more about hooking up with each other than any customers they may have. However, I can't blame the staff too much after seeing how this place brings out the worst in people. I'd recommend avoiding APP if you can, and head on over to Putt 'N Funn Zone: http://members.judysbook.com/posts/revieweditems/Service.aspx?ri=20631887 more

Great Park, Bad Pizza 8/29/2005

Austin's Park and Pizza is a great place to go with kids who need to burn off some energy, but be ready to burn some cash. The place is crazy on the weekends, and right after school. I do like that they have a little kids area, with small rides for the kids who can't ride the bigger rides yet. The games are expensive, and the food is not worth the price. Great to go to with people of all different ages though. more

Family Fun 8/21/2005

If you have a house full of people of varying ages that you need to entertain, this is where you need to go. Everyone will have a blast and it will entertain the kids for quite some time. They have a miniature gold course, go carts, video games etc. It does tend to get crowded at times, but all places that are geared towards entertaining a family usually are. It can get expensive -- that is for certain. more

You can get it all here! 8/20/2005

Austin Parks and pizza is a great evening of family fun. It is large and exciting as you even enter the building. They have arcade games, bumper boats, a train, race cars and a carousel. You can rock climb and do laser tag. They have attractions for kids of all ages. Tuesday nights they have a special where games are one price. But his means non award arcade games and not the ones you get tickets for. But it is still an evening packed with fun!! more

A fun place with a ton of kids 8/15/2005

This place is a great place to bring your family for a day of golfing, water bumper boats, batting cages, pizza, video games, the works. However, my visit was a little on the wild side. The pizza buffet was insane. There were massive amounts of people with few too many pizza. People were pushing and shoving to get the pizza's. Not to mention, I believe about half the children running around the place have zero adult supervision. When the place turns into "unlimited" video games, it becomes even harder to find a game let alone play on it. I would only recommend going to a week day or night and avoiding the weekends and special promotion days if you want to enjoy your visit and don't mind paying a premium more

Great Family Place 8/12/2005

This is a great park but doesn't have great pizza. There's a great arcade, go-carts and even bumper boats! They're right beside the highway so you can't miss it. Just stay away from the pizza buffet. There's tiny bits of topping and the dough tastes like cardboard. Try to get in on one of their birthday all you can play specials. more

Kinda Pricy and Crowded 8/9/2005

We went to Austin's Park and Pizza to see what new amusement park Austin had. I bought tickets for miniature golf, and we played one game. The tickets were overpriced, and the music playing by the golf course was way too loud and distracting. Also, we wanted to play a few video games, but were told that both of us would have to buy an $18 arm band to even be able to pay to play games...Umm-No way! more
