Another great coffee place I've only been to one time - but it was enough to make a good impression on me! The coffee and desserts here are out of this world. We even bought some of their flavored toffee coffee and enjoyed it for a few weeks after our visit. The location is also beautiful. I recommend sitting outside if the weather permits.

It's tough to review a place like this because everything that they serve is well above average. Some personal favorites include: chocolate-chip pancakes with strawberries, Vietnamese coffee, burgers, and the peanut soup. Ingredients are fresh, the staff members are cool, and the vibe is laid-back.

This is a quiet, cool coffee place right off S Congress. I have been all over Austin, at lots of coffee places, and this one is one of the quietest. Free wireless, nice polite staff. They are so quiet I worry about their volume and how they pay their rent. Get the flan latte, as user below pointed to me, its outstanding.
There are homeless people all over Austin. Stop complaining - they come into every place, and every restaurant. If you dont like them, then go do some volunteer work.
Pros: quiet - good coffee
Cons: not much food. definitely need more snack stuff.

I just swing in, pick up my large coffee and swerve out. Speaking of Swerve, Irie Bean used to be called Swerve. Maybe that rings a bell, maybe not. Nonetheless, it is the least pretentious coffee house in town. If there is a less pretentious coffee house in Austin, I dont know about it. That said, they do still have yoga on Sunday mornings - but the instructor wears old worn-out Jncos and doesnt come off as a show-off. Just stay away from the dude sits at the corner bar between 8:00 and 11 every weekday morning to do his crossword. He is a grouch! But the staff make up for his social challenges 7 fold. Oh, the coffee is not bad either.

As someone who works downtown there are not many places for coffee or lunch. though this place dowsn't offer food, they have THE BEST coffee around and really affordable prices. The staff is so nice and friendly and it makes me happy to spend my money there. support local businesses like Bobalu and get an awesome coffee in the meantime!

The people are great and the atmosphere is a good escape from everyday life. They have healthy smoothies that come with a cute little umbrella! Their coffees are tasty and they are very flexible in finding a drink that's right for me!
Pros: Awesome Products
Cons: I can't get enough of their drinks!

My girlfriend and I stopped in one day and she was so impressed it's now her daily morning stop, as it's close to Mopac. The ambiance is fantastic. There is a big cushy leather couch and comfy chairs, with TONS of seating. The deep dark wood give it a special warmth. The front parking lot entrance is really steep, so you might want to park in the rear lot if you don't drive an SUV or Truck as I scraped my car getting out.
Try the Naughty Toddy!!!

Soooo, I promised my hubby that I would stop spending the big bucks at Starbucks, but apparently I haven't kept my promise too well. I just CANNOT stay away. I love their frapuccinos, especially on a hot summer day. Tried their caramel frappucinos? It's a must! It's great that they have a drive-thru, because otherwise I might be forced to bring my little monsters inside and well, you get the picture. Only problem is their drive-thru always takes soooo long, at least 10 minutes. But, my starbucks addiction comes first...let the wait begin.
Oh, and their staff is just way too friendly, but I can live with that too.

I'll confess, I like starbuck's reliability. But I gave Mojo's much of my life (and money) during college. The coffee is above average, though I tended to stick mostly with the Iced Mojo which I've never been able to completely duplicate.
They have both indoor and outside seating (preferable because of the smoking crowd that the place tends to draw). Inside is pretty neat though-- they have rotating original art. The baristas (is that just a starbucks term?) are nice and original, and never seemed to mock my lack of originality (compared to the crowd, i was a preppie i suppose).
I could sit outside Mojo's (with certain boys that weren't my boyfriend) for hours sipping my coffee, ignoring both my bladder and certain boys that WERE my boyfriend. Just a great place to pass time
