I bought a used 2006 330i with 46k from a non-BMW dealer, so naturally i wanted every last thing i could think of that was under the 50k warranty taken care of. I just had the best service experience of my life. No joke...I had 12 issues that needed fixing, from whistling noises to shaky headlights to faulty power windows. You name it, trust me i claimed it. Not only did they fix everything to perfection under warranty ,they even noticed stuff i had missed and fixed that too. Communication and that personal feeling was there start to finish. Oh and my car was washed as well :) The only bummer was for 1 item on my fix-it list, had to be ordered from Germany and is a 2 - 3 week wait. So i have to go back for that, but it'll actually be my pleasure. Dennis and Lonnie ...I salute you!
Pros: Personal treatment, Superb warranty, Honest & Respectful.
Cons: Ummm...

I recently bought a Honda Accord from First Texas Honda. I went to all the websites of the Honda dealerships in the Austin area to do my research. The first dealership I called had an advertisement for Accords on their website that said all of the Accords in stock were a certain price... Not so true. The car in the advertisement was a completely stripped-down, base model Accord. That car and some others like it were that price, but the advertisement said that all Accords were that price. That dealership was out of the question. Although another dealership advertised some lower prices, I called the Internet Department at First Texas Honda next and I was completely taken back by the friendliness and hospitality of the sales associate who answered the phone. He answered all of my questions very thoroughly as if I was a member of his family. He told me about several different Accords that were available and that I would be able to buy based on the financial information I had given him. From this first impression, I felt like I could trust the sales team at First Texas Honda because they were truely trying to find the best possible car for me. Eventhough I might have been able to find a slightly lower price at another dealership, I knew that the small difference in price would be more than made up for if I received the same great customer hospitiality and helpfulness through the entire sales process and continuing after the sale. My perception was right - I have never had a more enjoyable car buying experience and there is no doubt in my mind that I will be equally satisfied in all of my future dealings with First Texas Honda.

The dealership has moved to a new location and expanded hours of operation to better service customers. I just recently moved to Austin and by far it's the most beautiful dealership i've stepped foot inside. The new location is at 5519 E. Ben White Blvd (a little east of the old location) and the hours of operation are 8:30 M-F & 8:30-7 Sat. Good luck and best wishes!
Pros: Gorgeous facility, Great deals, Courteous staff, Huge inventory
Cons: N/A

I recently needed a new alternator put into my '93 Grand Am. The price I was quoted at Longhorn Automotive was about $200 less than the price the dealership quoted me. I was able to get my car up there and within the same day the bad alternator was taken out, part was delivered, and my car was ready. I have had very many experiences with automotive repair shops and Longhorn Automotive tops the list, by far. It's easy for shops to think they can give a college student; or anyone for that matter, the run around and it's nice to know that there is a shop around like Longhorn.
Pros: Service, Prices

Let's face it, buying a car is usually the same type of experience as going to the dentist -- not fun. Our overall experience at Champion was a good one though. We shopped around a lot and got the best price, which Champion beat and gave us free oil changes to boot. Our salesperson was great -- very easygoing and none of the high-pressure stuff. We will definitely go back there the next time we need a car (which should be a LONG time since we bought a Toyota!)
Pros: Easy to deal with, great price
Cons: lack of parking

I purchased my car from then in 2004 and I have gotten nothing but great service from them. They have honored the warranty every step of the way and have done everything in their power to make things right for me. I am very happy with my car.
The salesmen do swarm you the minute you park in front of the dealership...normally I'm not even out of my car yet...but I think this is probably normal for most dealerships.

More
I've been a Volvo lover from way back and a customer of the local dealership for at least 10 years. Bought last Volvo from Tony Garcia in September 2006. I wanted a Volvo that did not look like the new made-by-Ford models. I wanted a Volvo that looked on the inside and out like a classic. Tony found what I asked for in less than a day. A sporty 2000 white Volvo sedan with tan leather seats and that classic Volvo look that is timeless. Smooth ride. Well-cared for trade-in that had just arrived.
When I'd had car for less than a week and battery failed, sales staff got it fixed for me.
Service is great. Tip: Call in advance for regular service and reserve rental car.
Sales staff not stuffy. No pressure. Fair negotiations.
Pros: selection, quality
Cons: none

Service department employees do such good jobs every time I drop my car. They won't push you to do unnecessary things just to make money. It is expensive just like any other dealership service departments but well worth it. I feel like I can trust them and they never ripped me off for ridiculous things like other car mechanics do.
Pros: Great service, trustable, nice waiting area, excellent wash,
Cons: none
