My family just loves this place! Peter Pan Mini Golf is located right on Barton Springs Dr. The traffic can get a little heavy there, but we never have had a problem parking. Cute and perfectly sized minature golf course that my kids love! The prices are great and the workers are very nice and friendly. We have made this our own little family tradition. We have never had a bad day here! It is older, but very well taken care of and very clean. I would recommend them to any family looking to have some fun at mini golf game! We will be back soon!

Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve has been around since the early 1970’s and was founded to protect endangered species and hundreds of native plants, animals and birds in the Hill Country. There is over 200 acres of wilderness and beauty and visitors can hike over 2 miles of the trails. Great quiet place to get away from the city, house and telephones! It’s just beautiful and a great learning experience for the kids! Don’t forget the camera! Oh, yeah, it's free! They do accept donations.

More
This is an excellent place to introduce smaller children to Nature and Science. There is a small museum and an outdoor trail with some rescued animals, and what child doesn't love animals? They host a lot of programs including wildlife, caving, astronomy and endangered species. Its a great place to experience nature with your children, more centered toward small children (ages 2 -5). Admission is free.

If you love skating, it is a really nice place to go. The rink is well maintained, and pretty big. the only bad thing is they just have limited public hours. The weather in Austin is very hot , you can not see ice outside, this is a good place to cool down and have fun. Hopefully they will have more public hours.

If you are seeking the most romantic thing you can do for your loved one, take them on a Capital Cruise. It is worth every penny and you'll both have a memory to last forever. They serve you a wonderful dinner and you can BYOB your own wine or champagne. They will give you an ice bucket and glasses to chill your beverages.
Not only it is a romantic, but you can talso ake your friends and family members on a dinner cruise along with bat watching and sightseeing tours.
We took my Mother and Mother-in-law on a dinner cruise for Mother’s Day and it is to this day their best Mother’s Day memory. They felt very appreciated and knew we put some thought into our gift to them.

It was a good envirenment and I was impressed with the friendly staff and I've gone recently with my grandkids and I would take them again and again. It was FUN.

More
The Nightmare Factory is a haunted house that is open from the end of September through Halloween. This isn't your typical haunted house I can guarantee you will be scared. The prices are a bit high but they have two for one Sundays so this is when I suggest going. I don't suggest taking young children.
