If you're into antiques and the Far East, this place has a load of stuff. They're part of the Home Furnishings district in downtown Seattle, which provides access to a ton of design elements to meet just about any taste. These folks go to Asia and visit little villages to find some rather eclectic pieces. They're a little spendy, but you guaranteed to get something authentic and unique.

We went looking for new luggage for our latest trip, as our hodge podge of misfit luggage was actually beginning to break down and fall apart. We also needed luggage to support a family of four.
The Samsonite Aspire luggage we picked up has been great. We got three pieces -- a 22", 26" and mondo 30". All of them are uprights, expandable, easy to pull, etc. In addition, the Aspire II models are lightweight, which makes moving them around much easier.
The coolest part of this operation: the Aspire II isn't expensive. It's not even the most expensive line from Samsonite.
The more expensive stuff we looked at were very similar in size capacities, but included a bunch of accessories on the interior for storing lots of gadgets, holding suits and dresses separately from other clothes, and other little whiz-bang amenities.
Our needs where clear: we needed space. The extra accessories would actually cut into our primary need. Plus, the more expensive lines are for those folks who travel *all* the time, literally living out of their suitcases. That's not us, so this fits the bill perfectly.

It's easy to shave your head -- really. But, you have to have the right equipment. I recommend the Mach3 from Gillette.
When you shave your head, you're going to want to shave your face. If you don't, you end up looking like Marty Culp (the balding-but-bearded music teacher from the AltaDena Middle School, played by Will Ferrell on Saturday Night Live.) Trust me, this is not a look that is good for anyone.
So you'll need a razor that works as well for your face as it does for your dome, but you have to be prepared. Ever had the joy of using your razor after your wife or girlfriend used it to shave their legs? Your razor needs to be able to handle both jobs without killing you later, and that's the Mach3. It has the lubricating strips and such that keep things smooth and take away razor irritation. (This only applies to heads and faces; legs are still on the do-not-allow list, ladies.)
Shaving your head and your face are two different things, for sure. Your face includes soft and more sensitive skin. Your head has skin that's stretched rather snugly around your skull. I find it's easier to shave your head than your face.
Now, to shave your head:
1) Make sure you've prepped by trimming your hair down with a hair clipper to the shortest possible setting. Take as much off as possible.
2) Apply shaving cream/gel to your entire head. Your head must be completely wet; dry spots are trouble.
3) Fire up the razor and start with the top. You might find a different way to approach it, so go with what seems easiest to you.
4) Watch out for the part by the ears, it's the easiest place to cut yourself.
5) Just feel your way with the back of your head; it's not as hard as you think. The best plan of attack: take your time. This is not the time to learn speed shaving.
6) Get your after-shave gel/cream stuff and go over your entire head with it. Come back 5 minutes later, and do it again. Your head needs the moisture to keep you from breaking out and such.
7) Go out and enjoy the comments: "chrome dome", "bald and beautiful", whatever.

If you have a fender bender or you just totaled your roadster, these guys can make it go away. They're perfectionists to a fault, and always do an exceptional job. Drive by their place and check out the parking lot next to the shop (always full). They're recommended by most of the high-end dealers in town (that's how I found them).

Leny's is the place to go for low-key beers, pool and karaoke (on the weekends). This is a place where the crowd definitely looks better the more you imbibe.
Parking can be tricky in and around the place; it's near Tangletown on 56th and Meridian. Be sure to look north of 56th, as parking on Leny's side of the street is jam-packed up and down the local avenues.

After having spent more than my fair share of time at various little breweries around town, Hale's Ales is a relatively decent offering. I don't give it many stars, but I expect more from a place that can roll-their-own beer on site.
The food is fairly well done, though it's the standard pub fare. There's a good length to the menu, but nothing off the wall. You won't be underwhelmed, but don't expect to be overwhelmed either.
The beer is quite tasty. Try out the creams that include the nitrogen. Any beer that includes things from physics or chemistry has got to be worth checking into, and this stuff was really good. The stout cream was good, but I liked the ESB much better.
Parking is a crapshoot, mostly of the side-street variety. Pull around back and take up a spot in a corner of the Fred Meyer parking lot, and you should be fine.

When we moved to St. Louis in 1996, we needed to find a place to live in a town that we didn't really know much about from a neighborhood perspective. I pulled into town and made my way down to Clayton; it just seemed conducive to my wife and myself. I picked up a newspaper and headed to a little pub to start my quest to find a place to live. The little pub -- Krueger's.
After finding a number of places to look at in and around Clayton, we were finally shown a great little brownstone apartment that suited our tastes and our budget. In a deja vu moment, our apartment also happened to be about 100 feet from the front door of -- you guessed it -- Krueger's!
It's been a long time since we have been to our favorite little watering hole, but as neighborhood joints go, this place is great. If you stop by, grab a few beers and then check if it's OK (it used to be) to order Imo's pizza from the place next door. Turn on the Cardinals game, sit back and relax.
