I have a community that I manage that had quite the bee problem. The previous company that had been called to adress the bees that were in the stucco near the tile roof simply sprayed some foam that was supposed to harden and well, they were not effective. Now, knowing as I do that Killer Bees are a real possibility down in these parts, I felt like I had to call my peeps at Powerful Pest. They came down in the evening when the bees were all home , and sprayed some smoke into the openings, then tore out big chuncks of wall. The first hive they extracted was 6' tall and 300 lbs, it was rad. They took out four all over the place, killed the queens, cleaned up the honey, and even noticed some rodent sign that the community was oblivious to. I send my Powerful Pest crew to all my communities now. As should you.

This past winter, and I use the term winter merely as a reference to the point at which I was on the continuum of time, I had the great pleasure of taking part on a team that won it all! Big League Dreams is a vast park with several replicas of MLB stadiums. There is a Fenway with a Green Monster, a Wrigley, a Yankee stadium , etc. The hub of this complex is the sports bar where the players congregate to plan strategy, hang out and for some , a place to fortify themselves with cold beers. Most of the action is in the stands , as its too warm out to be inside anyway. There are batting cages and indoor and outdoor soccer fields as well. The leagues are made up of divisions, Womens, Mens, and Co-ed. My team was dominant throught the season and took the trophy. The new season begins next week. This place is fun.

The weather person from the Desert Sun newspaper deserves a shout out for a job extremely well done. I am a consistant reader of this paper for it's hilarious articles about topics such as tweakers, faded stars, and all sorts of other stories that purport to be serious reporting but it's just so funny . Maybe I am jaded. The front page headlines about golf cart parades ...oh I could go on and on. But I digress. The weather section is always correct. Sunny , no clouds, maybe some nice breezes at night. Warm. Clear skies. I enjoyed a nice swim before work this morning and I knew that it would be nice out, which it was , because the paper told me that this week will be like last week and the week before , warm , I will be wearing shorts when I get home today because the weather person is on point. Way to go Desert Sun weather person.

This fast food establishment on the corner of HWY 111 and Washington is my favorite little drive thru Mexican food. Now , Del Taco has always been an option in the fast food category but I never found it to be great. Therefore, what I believe we have here is a fast food joint where the elements have converged ( good management/ownership/employees ) to create an atmosphere of good service. The line is always prompt. The order takers are always pleasant, they converse with the customer while the order is being prepared as opposed to closing the window and I always see employees outside taking out the trash and maintaining the grounds. And the food you ask? The fish tacos are perfect..crispy. hot, each comes with a lime wedge..the balance of tortilla, veggies, fish and sauce is perfect...but it is the Quesadillas that are par excellence...The spicy sauce ..the generous amounts of cheese...I always prefer just cheese but I have had the beef ( I am making an effort not to eat bird...the whole bird flu thing ) and it is wonderful as well, the steak al' carbon is also really good with juicy pieces of steak and a fresh off the grill charred aspect.. for fast drive thru food ....make mine Del Taco...this one at least
