Snakes are not as low 10/19/2010

Well, I have never looked the devil in the eye until I dealt with Craig Bono at Bay Ridge Honda. He confused us, manipulated us, threatened and dismissed us, he looked right in my eyes and lied ... ultimately he ripped us off every way he could. This was after we signed papers for a car and then was old that oops, they sold it to someone else. If you smell the scent of sulfur when visiting Bay Ridge Honda you know from which office it is coming from. I would say that I hope they rot in hell but that is obviously already happening. more

The worst car buying experience ever 9/1/2009

This is the worst place I have ever went to buy a car. I received a quote over the internet and wanted to close the deal at that price. They refused to honor it and the sales manager was downright rude and hostile. My sales rep Greg Keeler told me the car would be ready in a day and now two weeks later he has not returned one of my follow up calls. I am so sorry that I ever got mixed up with these crooks. I am sure we are going to wind up in court at some point. STAY AWAY from them and run fast to a honest dealer!!! Pros: none Cons: Sales manager and sales staff more

Horrible Experience 8/17/2009

We went to Bay Ridge Honda with an open mind hoping for the best. As soon as I got out of the car I was "greeted" by a women smoking next to the front door that said "That do you want?" After bypassing that person we were then introduced to the sales man that had nothing positive to say about Honda at all. The man said that we could not test drive the car and kept on saying negative things about the Honda Civic. When asked if he could tell us something positive about the car he said "it sells itself" After that comment we walked out of the store. DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME HERE!! The service was terrible! Pros: There where none Cons: The entire experience more

Dishonest car dealers doesn't begin to cover it. 4/27/2009

I bought a 2008 Honda got from these people. The salesman played some kind of "I have to ask my manager" game when we started talking about price. They wouldn't go down on the price so I tried to get some accessories at low cost. They charged me double for what they accessories cost. I found out because a few weeks after I bought the car they sent me an advertising email with the price of my accessory that was $50 less than I paid for it. I told them I needed the car right away, they said they needed a day to prepare it but I had to work that day so we agreed I'd pickup the car after 6pm the next day. The day of the pickup I get a call saying that if I don't pickup the car before 4pm that day I wouldn't be able to get the car for 3 days because they were too busy to give it to me. It was a 3 sat weekend. I guess they figured since they made the sale they didn't have to accomidate me. I bought they car in july 2008 and it's now April 2009 and I still get angry when I think about how they treated me. If you can find another dealership you should go there. Don't go here. To top it all off when they gave me my car it had some bayridge sticker on it that I have been carefully scraping off these past months because I don't want to give them free advertising more

Seems ok during research stage, haven't bought yet though 11/2/2008

We were really up front with these guys, telling them that we'd just started our research and wanted to test drive the model we thought suited us. Our sales rep was respectful and answered all of our questions. We didn't even get close to negotiating on price, so we're not sure how they manage that aspect of the transaction. So far so good. We did over-hear some sales conversations that were a bit pushy, but nothing more than you'd expect when negotiating with a car dealer. Pros: Respectful, attentive Cons: Mild pressure more

Sexist, Liars, and refused to issue a refund! 4/24/2008

My boyfriend and I went to purchase a car from Bayridge Honda. I was the one who would be purchasing the car, but my salesperson was only making eye contact and speaking with my boyfriend, completely ignoring me. After this went on for several minutes, I asked him to please include me in the conversation. Once we negotiated our lease deal, we filled out a "purchase order" and left a $500 deposit. We were assured it would be a matter of days before our car was ready. We never heard from them and had to make several calls inquiring about the status. Finally after 30 days, we were told "sorry, couldn't find a car for you". Getting my deposit back was a whole other story. I played phone tag with sales managers, was hung up and am going through my bank to get the refund. DO NOT deal with them. On a more pleasant note, Honda of New Rochelle was happy to help us out. They located a car in two days, took care of all our paperwork and communicated every step of the way. Our salesman, DJ, was VERY nice and deserves your business much more than Bay Ridge. Pros: NONE Cons: Sexist, UnCommunicative, RUDE, don't deliver on promises more

POLICE REPORT Filed against Sales Manager Chris Gonzalez 7/4/2007

Visit youtube dot com then: /watch?v=uL8YaCIydyE To see Chris Gonzalez Sales Manager Caught on Video. Chris Gonzalez - Bay Ridge Honda Sales Manager 718 836 4600 Police Report was Filed on July 3rd 2007 for Threatening and Harassing a costumer. Said he would HlT a customer "In the Fu&%king Face if I see you outside here", calling the costumer a "F@ggot" and throwing all the signed documents for new car purchase across the sales floor (seen laying beside car in video). "Get the F&^k out, you aren't even a costumer to me, I don't make enough money on this car (2007 Honda Fit) to have to put up with you." He says he has freedom of speech in America, that he can say whatever he wants, even as a manager. Chris is pictured on the phone faking a call to "Security" to scare off the costumer. In fact he was the one to have have police question him and have a harassment report filed against him. George Gambino, Store Manager, said "Chris must have had a bad day," and admitted that he would write Chris Gonzalez up, but that it "doesn't sound like much" of a punishment. My opinion - DO NOT SHOP AT BAY RIDGE HONDA - GOOGLE the name, you'll see NOTHING BUT BAD REVIEWS. Pros: thumbs down Cons: threatened!!!! more

Rude and Unhelpful if you know what you want 8/20/2006

My Husband and I went there to see a car we found on their website. We called to confirm it was in stock and made an appointment to see the car. When we arrived we were asked to wait while the man went to look for the car. 20 minutes later he returned to say he did not know where the car was. The computer stated it was there, he could not find it. No explaination or offers for anything else, just said he did not know and went off again to ask someone else. Came back another 20 minutes later, this time said sorry. There was no offer to see anything else. Apparently they do not know where their cars are and don't seem worried when they go missing. Pros: wont bother you if you have a strong idea of what you want Cons: wont bother you if you have a strong idea of what you want more
