I went here two weeks ago with 11 other women,. It was the day before my wedding and I didn't want a bachelorette party -- just a bunch of us to get our nails done together. I ...

I really want to give one star for the manicurist attitude, but two at the end since it was still a decent job. With all the raving reviews about how they massage your arm and ...

Best $12 manicure of your life 7/6/2006

Their signature green tea manicure (their basic manicure) involves a green tea hand soak, a green tea scrub, a back massage at the hip-looking drying station, and pampering from beginning to end. I couldn't believe what amazing service I was getting for $12! I've definitely paid $9 for manicures that are nowhere near as luxurious as Element's mani. They also have a good Monday-Thursday $30 mani/pedi deal. The space is clean and modern looking, there are flat screen TVs playing new music videos, the employees are sweet and friendly, and they use high quality products. Absolutely the best manicure I've ever had in NY, especially for the price. Pros: Great atmosphere, professional service, luxurious Cons: A little bit pricier than your average nail shop more

best best best.... 6/26/2006

The second you enter Element they make you feel comfortable. They offer you a beverage and insist on hanging up your jacket. They are experts @ waxing and tinting eyebrows. The mani and pedi's are superb. I had brittle nails that would always break, now they are long and well maintained. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Every single person that works there, makes sure their clients are pampered. This is truly an awesome place and I highly recommend trying it out. This is a great asset to Park Slope. more

Average 5/13/2006

I had an alright service here, I was not impressed with the pedicure / manicure I received, I did not feel like my nail tech was knew what she was doing. The space is cute and has energy - I was just not satisfied with my service. Pros: nice space Cons: sells pressure, parking more

Addicted to Nail Service 5/11/2006

For a mani-pedi, you simply cannot find a better place. The nail services are skilled and luxurious. While most nail salons consider a massage to be a quick slap of the back of your hands, the Element nail techs provide long, muscle-relaxing true massages. Then, when you move to the dry station, the techs often provide a gratis 2-minute back massage. And they always have sweet smiles on their faces. Unfortunately, the spa services are less wow-worthy. The waxes are the typical painful affairs, and the back massages are not consistent. For a mani-pedi, though, Element simply cannot be beat - anywhere in the 5 borroughs. Pros: lots of "extras", hand/feet massages, happy techs Cons: average wax services more

Fantastic wax and nail care experience... 5/8/2006

This place is amazing...I've done Bliss and all the other shi shi fu fu places and received the best wax at Element. It was painless and I was able to get more bang for my buck. They were not stingy with the hair removal quantity and there was even a flat screen tv built into the ceiling for more distraction. The staff was friendly and the place was definitely hip. I highly recommend the nail care services as well. Pros: Location, Efficient, Price more

Worst waxing ever! 5/5/2006

Pain, pain, pain! She pulled against the hair growth... Not to be done when waxing. Those of you who wax know what I'm talking about. The nail tech did a lousy job with my pedicure. The polish was lumpy. Although the rub was nice. My friend got a manicure and felt the nail tech didn't cover her nails evenly. There were even spots unpainted near the sides. The decore was off. They were going for modern with an eastern flare and kinda missed. It's not awful looking, it's just not done really well. Just doent have a spa feel at all. Pros: Good rub of feet Cons: Really bad job waxing, Awful polish job more

What a great place to be! 3/29/2006

I love this place! I am a regular customer at element and have always had a great experience. The space is bigger than you would think with facials going on in the back rooms and waxing rooms downstairs. My favorite treat is watching the video screens with music videos while getting my mani & pedi done. Give this place a try I promise it will be your new favorite beauty stop. Pros: great hours, friendly staff, video screens! Cons: none! more

Absolutely Fabulous 2/22/2006

I am completely addicted and will go nowhere else. The atmosphere is completely relaxing, the service is amazing and located right in Brooklyn at affordable prices...who could ask for more. I am very particular when it comes to my nails, at Element they exceed every expectation. Pros: Trendy, Talented staff, Good parking more

Excellent service-excellent value 2/6/2006

I love this new place. The staff is skilled and professional--equal to d'mai, and at half the price. it's sleek and brightly-lit with pop music playing on the radio, which I prefer to the dim lights and nature sounds of other spas. Give this place a try--you won't be disappointed! more

Hands down the best nail place in Brooklyn... 1/4/2006

...or perhaps I should further that statement and say that it is better than most, if not all, of the places in Manhattan too. Now there is really no need to ever go into Manhattan. more

Wonderful Experience 11/27/2005

What a gem of a place right here in Brooklyn. It's about time us Brooklynites had the quality and service of a Manhattan-type spa right here in Brooklyn. The Elemental Pedicure is second to none - I didn't want to leave. The service is top notch, parking is easy, and the spa itself is clean to the point of immaculate. The staff is attentive and delightful- this is a truly wonderful experience. Pros: Cleanliness, Attentive Staff, Good parking more

Refreshing 11/12/2005

The tranquility found in this boutique spa is something most New Yorkers are longing to find. Such an accommodating and friendly staff is a rarity. High-end service without the attitude or the high-end prices. Ive already scheduled my next appointment! more

Finally... 11/3/2005

A cute & chic oasis in Park Slope! 10/6/2005

A friend of mine had the mani. & pedi at this place and just went on and on about how I should go. I told her there was no way I was going to pay 26 dollars for a pedi or 12 for a mani! Now I'm HOOKED! It doesn't have that assembly line factory feeling. The people are attentive and the service was great! I'm going back for sure. I'm not even the type to go on like this but I was so suprised to hear "your total is 39.52" after what i just got. A Steal! Pros: Service, Staff, Atmosphere Cons: It has to end =-( more
