Their always curteous, professional, kind, and on-time. Jean Marc is a pleasure to work with. Affordable. Most importantly...he cuts my hair the way I WANT IT! He listens to details. You can bring a picture of what you want and he will nail it! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. more

I am a male with weird soft/straight hair who has been going to barbers for years; however, I never got the kind of cut I wanted as most barbers cut my hair generically. I came into bodhi as a new experience and was pleasantly surprised. Pros: Very pleasant/Reasonable price/Upscale Cons: None really. more

I am a male with weird soft/straight hair who has been going to barbers for years; however, I never got the kind of cut I wanted as most barbers cut my hair generically. I came into bodhi as a new experience and was pleasantly surprised. For dudes: I recommend this place. It was upscale and Jean-Marc seemed knowledgable of current male hair trends and how to manage hair. It is twice as much as a barber,but it was reasonable, so if your fine with a barber I would stay going to one. Moreover, I was tired of barbers (who didn't know how to cut my hair) and wanted to try something new, and bodhi was just the place. For females: I watched the lady before me get her hair cut and Jean-marc cut it very well and gave her a style that was very modern/urban (even though she looked 50?) that was very appealing. He also took her time with her (and myself) and sounded very experienced. I would recommend this place for females as well. All in all, I was pleasently surprised that a hair place like Bodhi would just be down my block in Bay Ridge. I admit I was apprehensive about what Jean-Marc did to my hair as I came in looking very "oldschool" and came out looking very contemporary. However, when I got home and tried everything myself, everything Jean-Marc said made sense, and I embraced and liked my new haircut. Recommended to try if your looking for a good hair stylist in Bay Ridge that is upscale. Price was also reasonable (25$ for men's haircut), and the products he used were very high quality. My damaged crispy fried hair was made human again by excellent cut and color. Not only was I thrilled with the results but they explained honestly about the limitations of my challenged hair. It far exceeded expectations. Great service, great results. Not cheap and worth every penny. Will definitely go back. Pros: made my crown of broken straw look like human hair again Cons: got to make appointment in advance more

I was searching for a new hair salon for several months,and my roots were looking darker and darker by the minute. Idecided to search on the web for someone who specializes in highlites and color. Bodhi Salon came up and I read about this couple ,one who does color,and the other does haircuts. I went to have a complete hairover (color,highlites,cut) well I walked out feeling like a new woman the highlites were just what I had asked for(NO RED OR BRASS TONES) and the cut was excellent.The service was great ,not to forget their dog who greats you when you arrive,it doesn't get better than that. I am looking foward to having a long relationship with them both for years to come thankyou both Annette more

After reading all the good reviews I visited the Salon. I got the worst hair cut and style . I was embarrass to walk out in public. !! The owner had the nerve to tell me to go online and write a good review about them. more

Bodhi salon is everything a salon should be. Before you walk in you get a sense of what the people inside are like. From the brightly colored sign to the humorous window decorations Bodhi is very welcoming-not to mention Enzo, the australian shepherd who welcomes you as you enter. The entire staff is a dream. Adelle and Jean Marc are so much fun to talk to much less having them create works of art with your hair. Jean Marc is always on the same page as I am when doing a consultation before i even get my hair washed. He pays so much attention to detail and really makes you feel as though you are the only client in the room. I could give him a vague idea of what I think I want my hair to look like and he always gets it right. His artistry is amazing! I can't tell you how many complements I get on my haircuts from Bodhi. These people are very professional, punctual, friendly, incredibly talented, and amazingly affordable. I always look forward to my time spent there. I also tell people that if I didn't live in Brooklyn I would still make the trek to Bayridge to schedule a haircut form Jean Marc. I can't say enough good things about this salon and these people!
