Adeline was wonderful! My hair color was a mess-she did corrective color and brought me back to the color I thought I would never see again! I had it done about 3 weeks ago and the color has held up beautifully, even though I have a lot of gray and previously this had always been a problem at other salons. One week after the color I had the brazilian blowout done; which has made my hair soft and manageable. It is very easy to blowout my own hair now and it is nice and shiny! Adeline gave me a great cut too- she seemed to know exactly what I needed. I am very very pleased with the treatment at Bohdi and the staff is courteous and easy to talk to. I felt that I got exactly what I asked for. I would recommend them highly! Pros: very knowledgeable and pleasant staff Cons: none more

I went and got a brazilian blowout....it was perfectt...while Adeline was explaining me the process and also the outcomes, I did believe everything she was saying however at the end the results were much better and higher that I was imagining. Not only the frizzz didn't exsit any longer but also the color of my hair came out really good ( i didn't think that my color was that good but after the process it was magnificant). I think this process is great for frizzy hair and especially for someone that is trying to grow their hair...it gives the hair a very healthy look and touch. Another great thing about this place is the way they throw suggestions... I went it, I had no idea about what style to go for so I just told Adeline to do whatever she thinks would work best for my hair type and she did a great job. I would highly recommend this place and I would deff go there again!!! Pros: Very suggestive bout anything that you ask Cons: Didn't try earlier more

I am a crazy about change and i have been going to the same stylist since i was a teenager. when i tried one or 2 other people in the past, I was never happy with the end result. But, I decided I wanted something different and needed to get it together and just start looking for someone new in Bay Ridge. I was EXTREMELY hesitant and skepitcal about going to someone new AND going to a place i had never even heard of, even though I've lived in Bay Ridge my whole life. I went to Adeline for the first time about a month ago for highlights and i have never been happier with the color. I have received compliments from everyone- ranging from my mother(who loves my natural hair color), to old friends i haven't seen in years. I was contradictory in telling Adeline what it was i wanted, however, she was very nice and really made me feel comfortable. i gave her a general idea of what i was looking for, we discussed what she thought would look best in combination with what i said i wanted, and i received highlights that looked both natural, yet noticeable. She is the only stylist i have been to that actually listened to what i was looking for and gave me exactly that on the first try. Also, i have thin hair, and she even gave me recommendations as to what to do when styling and for my next cut. i was so happy with the overall experience that i plan on trying them out for my next trim! I live in Bay Ridge but used to travel all over NYC to get my hair cut. I started in Astoria. Haircuts were great but didn't justify the 2 hour train ride. Then Manhattan. I visited several old-school barbers when I kept my hair super-short. For longer hair it wasn't the right place. Finally my coworker suggested Bodhi, which is about 5 minutes away from my house. I've been a loyal customer ever since. I waited until I had 3 haircuts to post a review - and each one has been amazing. Jean-Marc actually takes the time to examine my hair and talk to me about the style before even lifting the scissors. And he has an opinion, too, which is important. When I'm going to get my haircut, I'm intentionally seeking the advice of a professional - so I expect them to actually tell me what they think! Jean-Marc always does. But really the whole team is great. Adeline and Jean-Marc have created a very relaxed, very hip atmosphere (I swear it feels like I've left Bay Ridge) and their dog Enzo is perhaps the cutest dog I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. To sum up: Guys, if you're ready to move up from the barbershop, go here. You'll get a great cut and won't have to fork over $80 for it. For all you womenfolk I can't vouch personally but everyone I see when I'm there looks a)great and b)happy. And if you don't live in Bay Ridge it's about time you paid a visit anyway. Come early or stay a little later and enjoy the best Middle Eastern food in the city (Tanoreen) the best Sichuan this side of Queens (Grand Sichuan House) and then look out over the harbor from atop Owl's Head Park. I got my hair cut and Brazilian blowout at Bodhi salon. I was so impressed with Maryas skills and knowledge in hair. She gave me just what I wanted, a hair cut that is stylish and matched my oval face shape. As for the Brazilian blowout, it does exactly what it promises. Made my hair silky and shiny, I don?t even spend any more time on it. It just looks amazing. Thanx Marya and Bodhi Salon for introducing me to this great product!! more

Last time I had my haircut done by new stylist Mariya and I have to say she did an excellent job! She was very professional, accurate and trendy. I would recommend her, for you get the same results, but do not have to wait too long for the appointment......by the way, my husband was also very satisfied with his haircut, though he has a very problematic hair:) Pros: very professional/trendy Cons: none more
