Gramercy Tavern is one of those places you could bring a date or your parents. It's impressive without being ostentatious. The service is impeccable and the food is award-winning. Danny Meyer is a genius.
Honestly, I've had almost everything on the menu and it's all good.
With fresh ingredients and skillful hands come high prices so don't expect a bargain.
Also, getting a reservation is difficult.
My tip? Show up and dine in the casual bar area in front. The tables there are first come-first serve, so if you're there by 6:30, then you should get a seat.
All in all, a great restaurant sure to impress. Great for expense accounts if you have one!
