The Comet Tavern has a rich history of great bands and loyal customers. Mama Casserole does an excellent job of booking quality bands. If you want to see a good show, but you don't have much cash, this is the best place in Seattle to do so. $4 - $6 will get you 3 or 4 fun bands who are eager to please the hardworking DIY crowd.
My favorite thing about the bar is the vibe. It is unpretentious and hip all at the same time. Cheap drinks and good times can be had by all any night of the week at this classic Capitol Hill icon.
