They're underhanded staff are just there to collect money they dont care about anything but your money and if you are of minority decent they have people there to make u feel at ease but they are all snakes as well as the gentlemen that runs the place. After easily getting passed a misconception it was strung out to be a BIGGER issue than was meant to be and I felt disrespected and was treated like my money wasnt any good (my guess was the way I dressed and my young features that made them feel like they could take advantage of my situation only until I spoke up) DON'T GO THROUGH THE SAME I DID more

Brooklyn's Best Driving School 6/22/2011

I definitely recommend going to the US Auto School. The instructors are kind, patient and helpful. They are all very well versed in city driving, and have a manner of teaching that can make even the most nervous, confused driver confident behind in the wheel in just a few weeks. Furthermore, they have all been teaching driving for long enough that they know exactly what will be expected of you at the road test, so there will be no surprises and you can easily pass on your first try. If he's available, I particularly recommend Mr. Lester. All in all, US Auto School is a great place to learn how to drive and anyone who wants to quickly earn their license and feel comfortable on the road should go there! more

Disrespectful, Dangerous, and Ignorant of Traffic Laws 7/12/2010

I actually didn't take one of these courses, I just happened to stop next to one of the US Auto School cars because it was parked in the bike lane on Henry St and I wanted to let the instructor know that perhaps it wasn't in his best interest to do that, being that what he was doing was illegal. When I informed him (rather politely) that he was setting a bad example and that he should move his car he told me (rather rudely and cavalierly) that I should keep moving and go away. When I pulled in front of him to take a picture (License plate AFM 1602, by the way) he pulled out of the bike lane and told me that I should find better uses of my time. Cons: Does not respect the rights of cyclists. more

I passed on the 1st test 6/28/2010

I could be happier with my experience with US Auto School. I had a great teacher and I even took some highway lessons. I would highly recommend them.... Pros: Great Instructor and New Car Cons: None more

Very satisfied! 7/11/2009

I needed to get my license in a hurry so I got my learner permit and took the five hour class with U.S. Auto. They were able to set up an early appointment for me, give me the driving classes and also arrange for a car to take me to the road test. The car I used for the driving lessons was brand new and i got to use the same car for the road test which was great. The instructor, Mr. Lester, was extremely professional, patient and experienced and did a great job helping me prepare for the test. I got my license yesterday and couldn't have asked for more from a driving school. Pros: Great instructor, professional staff and brand new cars! Cons: none more

If I knew, I wouldn't have gone there 3/26/2009

I went there just to ask questions. I'm a foreign and have a thick accent, however I am able to understand native english speakers. The guy was so uneducated when he learnt that I didn't have a permit! I went there to ask, for example, how much were the classes, and he just said to me "No you don't need to know that, you first need to get your permit". I thanked for his answer and surely I will never come back there! And I hope that everybody do the same! Pros: It is the only auto school in the area Cons: total bad experience more

bad bad bad 10/27/2008

Cars are filthy. Instructor I had was lazy. Sometimes talked me through things, other times said nothing. I failed. Cannot say that I blame him as I did the test and made the (minor) mistakes. But he never gave me one word of encouragement or told me where my weak spots were. When we got back into the car after test, no conversation. NOTHING. Just advised me that he wasn't available for a few weeks. Screw that. Going to another school. more

Everything is wrong with this school 3/12/2008

I had several classes with different cars each time. Cars need to be updated or serviced- brakes are hard steering wheels stiff or too easy- Not good for learning drivers. They didn't teach me anything. I still couldn't park i had to go another school who taught me. Don't waste ur time or money. Pros: none Cons: bad cars more

They just messed me around 11/23/2005

They cancelled my first lesson. The instructor blamed the office and the office blamed the instructor, each with a different explanation. Then they said that there had been an 'emergency rescheduling' which meant that they couldn't take me to my road test as they had promised even though I had booked up weeks in advance. more
