Gorgeous 1/19/2009

The food at this place is amazing. Good happy hour menu as well as regular dinner. Salmon and Oysters are my favorites, always fresh. When you go there, expect to be a fancy dining, so don't get put off by the price. Suitable for business dinner as well as casual get together. Happy hour prices are reasonable and quality is Seastar quality. I'd recommend everyone to get there at least once. more

Seastar Bellevue - Highligh of our trip 10/6/2006

In town for a week on business (we live in the UK), and being seafood fans, we picked Seastar for our 2nd night based on reviews found on Google Maps. It was so good, we returned on our last night. The service was excellent, our waiter Jim, was attentive, knowledgeable and courteous. The food was exquisitely presented, and of exceptional quality. Our favourite was the scallop trio for appetiser and the wild red Alaskan salmon cooked on cedar wood as an entrée - the best salmon we have ever had. The atmosphere was subdued and elegant - far better than Daniels Broiler for an intimate evening full of good conversation and relaxed ambiance. more

SeaStar--Great Food/Raw Bar and Service 5/9/2006

If you live on the East Side, do visit Sea Star for a nice, intimate meal with your friends or significant other. The service is great and the ambiance is warm. I love their raw bar, you must try their raw oysters! My favorite is the kumomoto oysters, they taste a bit sweet and the size is very small. They also have an assortment if sashimi and sushi, great for sushi lovers! Try their seafood tartare! I've always had their seafood dishes, and it's always been very good and fresh. The price ranges from $20-$45 a plate. Prices for lunch are more reasonable $12-$15. more

Delicious!! 3/28/2006

Centrally located in downtown Bellevue, Seastar is one of my favorite East Side restaurants. The food is delicious and worth every cent! The lunch menu has lots of variety and great options. The stuffed calamari appetizer is intriguing and worth trying. The grilled tuna sandwich is outstanding and the accompanying fries are great! I’ll definitely be back as often as I can! more

Great for a Night Out 3/19/2006

The Appetizer Sampler platter is probably the best treasure here, along with the Ahi dish. It's got a nice atmosphere that makes for a wonderful night out on the town with a larger group. Good for groups of 4-6 people, not a great facility for larger parties. Not highly intimate for 1-2 people. Good business entertaining place. more

Elegant Seafood Restaurant 3/18/2006

If you're after a nice, nice, seafood dining experience, make the trip to SeaStar. It's a good place for an adults night out, or for a working business dinner. The food is excellent and the seafood menu is outstanding. Try items from the raw bar, or the King Crab Leg platter is to die for. You get a wonderful stack of pre-cut, tender, butter, King Crab legs? You starting the car yet?? more

Great seafood for a date or business dinner 3/13/2006

If you’re looking for upscale without pomp, this is it. Located near downtown Bellevue, Seastar has a clean modern look, valet service and everything else you would want from place where you could take business partners. It is also nice for a date, although not for a date of either the romantic or the casual kind. They serve mostly seafood, and it is excellent, especially the sesame crusted salmon (or whatever other fish). Save room for dessert. The prices are commesurate with the atmosphere, food and service, so don’t go here on a budget. more

Good northwest seafood 1/29/2006

I'm so glad this restaurant survivied the .com downturn in Bellevue. Its a very reliable place when you want to take someone out for lunch and it needs to be just a bit fancy. My favorites for lunch are the "tuna" sandwich which is actually a really great sashimi cut of tuna lightly broiled on the outside. For dinners, try the stack of appetizers. It is a little noisy, but convenient in downtown Bellevue. Also with valet parking a garage downstairs it is easy to park without having to end up in the Belsquare megamall more

Great seafood (on the east side) 12/9/2005

I went to Seastar for the second time -- and realized that it's official -- seastar serves some of the best seafood in the greater Seattle area. I rank it up there with Waterfront Seafood Grill and Oceanaire. Seastar has a relatively long list of fresh fish options -- giving you your northwest standard salmon, as well other interesting choices, like Mahi Mahi and Ono. Try the salmon cooked on a cedar plank . . good stuff. Don't be afraid of the sushi either. The con for seastar is the location - the ground floor of an office building. . .but they do a good job of making the restaurant feel warm and inviting. more

Incredible food in downtown Bellevue 8/12/2005

The Seastar Restaurant is a wonderful dining experience. The food is beautifully served and tastes as good as it looks. Although I believe they are known best for their fish and other seafood specialties, their steak is outstanding as well. The dining area is quite large with several tables, so it is not a cozy place with a view, but it is well staffed and runs very smoothly. You can still have a nice conversation with your tablemates without having to speak loudly. Make sure you get the Maytag Blue Cheese with Shrimp and Pear salad. It is out of this world! They also have a raw bar which is more upbeat and noisy, but I haven't been to it. Definitely make reservations, as it does get busy. A great place for a date, anniversary dinner, or a night out with friends or company. I would leave the kids at home though. more

Seastar Restaurant in Bellevue Makes the Catch 6/28/2005

This restaurant is perfect for business meetings or a night out with friends. I highly recommend the sushi. They even have a sushi bar where the chef makes his own creations that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the stomach. You will not be disappointed with the atmosphere or the food. Each dish looks as good as it tastes! Gather some friends for a pleasant meal and I will assure you a good time. more
