After five visits to Lincoln Square Cinemas I am thoroughly sold. Not only is the facility a cut above most of the local theaters, the total experience is better as well. They're obviously thinking about the customer, from the person who tears your tickets to the live greeter (?) who comes in just before the feature to make sure you let them know if there's any way they can help...from quieting a noisy group in the next row to providing sound enhancements.
The theater seating is very roomy. They feel like first class airline seats and are a step up from most of the other local movie houses, with swing up arms in case you want to cuddle with your movie date.
The popcorn isn't the best theater-popped I've had but certainly passable...if a bit dry. The refreshment counters are set up for fast service and the people behind the counters seem well trained and courteous.
Add the ample free parking in the Lincoln Square facility and this is a pretty thorough combination of pluses...and my vote for best theater in the Seattle/Bellevue environs.

If you love dolls this is a great place to spend the day. They have an amazing collection of dolls from early Bylo Babies to Barbie. The museum has a great flow to it as it was designed to allow the patron to enjoy the dolls to their best advantage. It is worth visting the Museum several times a year to see the special collections they display. This is a rare chance to see a world class collection of dolls in one place and something no doll enthusiast should miss!

My most recent visit to BAM was to see the teapot exhibit but was pleasantly surprised to see other very interesting exhibits featured that day as well. Staff is very knowledgable with the exhibits and happily answer any questions. I will certainly return in the future.

I don't know about you all but when the thermometer hits 85 or higher, I get hot! The last thing I want to do is go to a hot beach or an unshaded park. In the past I would take the kids to the mall, or the Pacific Science Center etc. But I know right where I'm going this summer on hot days...the Factoria Kid Quest Museum!
It is SO great!!! I have a 19mo old and a 4 1/2 yr old and they both can run around and find activities for themselves that are age appropriate. I can actually sit down and relax and not worry that my kids are destroying anything or getting into trouble! Often we will bring a friend for my older one, so they can run around and explore together.
An annual membership is only $60, and since it's $6/person to get in, that has paid itself off in droves! We try to go once a week and I bet on those hot and rainy summer days we will be there more than that!
HELPFUL HINT: Go after 1:30 in the afternoon and on a weekday...it is CRAZY on weekends and in the mornings. Have fun!

Want to see the latest film? This theater is the place to go to on those boring weekends and free weekdays. Reasonable prices in town and they have one of the largest screens for the main attractions. Also not to mention, the seats are so comfortable and beat any theater nearby.

The only bad thing about this theater is that its nearly 4 stories up so it takes some time if they're showing a highly anticipated film like Star Wars 3. So get there early if you plan on watching a popular film. Parking is expensive and limited to several hours. The quality of the seats and the large screens make this place a wonderful theater. Top quality.

Skate King is so cool. On the third Monday of every month, they have a Gay Skate. Honestly, the only thing cooler than being gay is skating, so this is a pretty cool night. The rink is a perfect size, not so big that it takes forever to get around, not so small that you feel like you’re skating in circles. Skate King has a nice atmosphere that always makes me feel a little more carefree.

Silver Platters at South Center was the first place I ever encountered an in-store listening station. They were also one of the first places that offered CDs only. I'm happy to see that this Bellevue store continues that great tradition. What sets Silver Platters apart from the corporate music stores is the knowledgeable staff that obviously are music fans and listen to music. What a novel concept, huh? I have gone in several times and asked for fairly obscure artists, and have been taken to the exact spot on the shelf where the CD can be found each time.

I've been to Child's Play Cafe three or four times with my son. It's a good place to go if you need a pause from parenting and want a fun place for you child to play. The cafe is divided into an area with eating tables and couches for the adults and several play areas for the kids. Inside the play areas are helpers who interact with the kids. The parents get to eat and relax while the kids play.
It is moderately expensive at 6.75 an hour for the kids to play and lunch runs about $11 for a sandwich and salad. The adult food is of good restaurant quality.
My son loves going and gets a decent amount of attention from the helpers in the play area. They have gotten busy lately, so call in advance before you go to make a reservation. I would recommend it as a place to visit every once in a while when you are looking for a different activity for your child.

One of my favorite places to browse in, Fireworks is brightly "artsy-fartsy," with unique gifts, knick-knacks and doo-dads. Some are wonderfully useful, yet artistically designed, like kitchen trivets, measuring spoons, wall shelves, and lighting.
Most are hand-crafted and some pieces are unique one-of-a-kind or limited by the artist. Some useful, some decorative, some just... pure fun.
Not the best place to bring children as many breakables are within easy reach, but they also have the neatest stuff for children, including some winningly attractive rainwear for toddlers and some marvelous hand puppets.
Apart from the object d'arts, Fireworks also carries jewelry and a good Judaica collection.
