I think Golden Gardens is great at night. That's because there aren't hordes of little kids running around. On the down side, at night you don't get the view of the Olympics, the sail boats, and all the wind surfers or whatever they are, however it's great to be on the beach with a nice warm fire. Bring some snacks and friends and have a picnic! The fire pits get taken pretty quickly when it's nice out though in the spring/summer/fall so plan well ahead and get someone to stake one out for you, otherwise go in the winter and brave the rain!

KEXP is so unique and awesome! Not only do they play the best music around (no matter what your taste is because they have a wide variety of shows), but there are no commercials because it's public non-profit radio!!! The djs are talented, intelligent, and independent. The station is one of the few not owned by ClearChannel - seriously. KEXP gives you free podcasting of live original performances and even offers the song of the day - and they were one of the first to do this, by working directly with the artists. Support KEXP!!!!!

They have a quick turn around time and they also carry lots of shoe supplies like polishers, cleaners, etc.

This is a very large store fully packed with all sorts of party supplies. They tend to focus on the events in season, but have lots of supplies for year round parties too! The staff is super helpful with ideas and very friendly. I also like that they carry supplies like plastic wine and magarita glasses. Most smaller stores do not.

Everyone will appreciate it (except those on diets...). Make sure you've got plenty of milk on hand as well!

This place is quite large and has a huge assortment of things - from clothing, to shoes, to furniture, to vintage toys, to music, to household goods! It is a lot of fun to browse through the whole store just looking. Some of the stuff is expensive, but there are certainly things anyone can afford (though I'm not sure they'd want..!).

I"m not sure why I continually stop by this store - probably because I live close by and walk by it every day. I keep thinking I'm going to find something, but I never do, and the employees are really pushy, condescending, and annoying. A friend of mine did buy a fake Marc Jacobs bag here though, that she is still excited about months later, so I suppose it is possible to score a major find.

I really like the Madison Greetings cards and they aren't that easy to find. This store has a pretty decent selection. They sell individual cards or in packs, and I think you can get speciality invitations done here as well.

I would definitely agree with the reviewer who said that the Asian-inspired dishes were probably the best. I got sushi-grade tuna, seared, with a wasabi ginger sauce that was unbelievable! The people I was with got other dishes that were just ok. I would go back in a second for my dish though; it was delicious!
