Yay Cyclones! 5/8/2006

My husband is a huge Mets fan and we love to go see the Cyclones in Coney Island. We especially love it when they have fireworks night. It's so pretty! I like the little playground area too. I have spent lots of time there when the kids get bored. If you climb up on the equipment, you can still see the game and watch the kids. It's a really fun night at a good price. more

Baseball in Brooklyn 9/19/2005

What can you say about baseball being back in Brooklyn - it is about time and you have affordable New York Met baseball for once. The park is magnificent and is just so nice in Coney Island where you can enjoy so much afterwards. The baseball is decent as this is rookie league but it still is just such a great way to enjoy a day. more

The Brooklyn Cyclones 8/18/2005

The days of Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale is long gone from brooklyn but a few years ago, Brooklyn was able to get back a piece of that with the cyclones. They are the single A affiliate of the new york mets and they offer a good show for all ages. The prices for their tickets and refreshments are very affordable and they offer plenty of parking too. You can even have a bite to eat at nathans or ride on the cyclone over at astroland. The whole area offers alot of things to do. more

A fun night out... 8/17/2005

Did you know we had our own minor league baseball team right here in brooklyn? I've been to 2 games, and each time have had a blast. FYI--I'm not even a baseball fan! But, the cheering crowd, popcorn, and sing-a-longs made for a very fun evening. Plus, the stadium is brand new, it's easy to get to by subway or car, parking is ample, and you're right in coney island, where there's the beach, boardwalk, mini-golf, go-karts, etc. I'd recommend you venture out--it surprised me how entertaining the whole experience was. more

Baseball IS Great & Alive In Brooklyn 8/17/2005

The new Brooklyn Cyclones let baseball come back in Brooklyn. There located in Coney Island right near Astroland. You'll have a great time. Theres to cool mascots Pee-Wee and Sandy The Seageal which meet and greet the fans. You can take pictures with them. The cyclones are rivals with the Staten Island Yankees. If you wanna have a good time come visit the brooklyn cyclones. more

Cheaper than the majors 8/5/2005

Tickets are cheap (around $5) and there's lots more specials. Beers and brats are half the price of Shea or Yankee stadium, and the Cyclone's are a pretty good team most of the time. The promotions are awesome too -- sometimes they have a guy with an air cannon shooting t-shirts into the crowd. I almost got one but it slipped out of my hand and landed ini the lap of the guy behind me. Oh well. Every seat has a view of the field and you have the sea breeze behind you. more

Baseball is back in Brooklyn! 7/14/2005

Since the Brooklyn Dodgers left Brooklyn, baseball has not been in Brooklyn since the Cyclones, a farm team for the Mets came in town. The Brooklyn Cyclones are located right near the Cyclone and other amusement rides in Astroland in Coney Island and ticket prices are very cheap. It is defiantly a great experience for anyone who loves baseball and Brooklyn. more
