This garden has been around since the early 1900s and the plantings show it. It is a well developed public area and there are seasonal features not to be missed.
The Japanese Garden is a personal favorite of mine. From the pond with the kio to the little pagoda tucked away in the woods, this garden is a delightful place to sit and read on a sunny afternoon.
The greenhouses are a winter delight, with snow on the ground and the tropical plants indoors. A great place to escape winter doldrums.
The cherry trees blossom each spring and offer a shower of blossoms as you walk along the path. There are fountains, pools, a childrens garden and more.
A lovely spot of nature in the middle of Brooklyn.
