I briefly saw the outside of this marvellous library during a walk my friend David and I took, while I was checking out this fabulous Brooklyn neighborhood, a place I hadn't been to in many many years. During my brief four day visit with my friend, who lives on Union Ave., I wanted to 'feel' Brooklyn, and this library was so much a part of it. What got me was when he told me that this was the library mentioned in the classic, 'A Tree Grows In Brooklyn'. Now I've got to read the book again, and ofcourse, visit Brooklyn again, and this time, I will go into the library to really enjoying it further!!
