i applied for an apartment in the year 2004-2005 after being a hurrican victim in punta gorda florida--they did not have any apartments available that went by your income, however the guy that took our application offered an apartment that had not been cleaned up or painted and there were more empty apartments than filled--very few people lived there....why is it so hard to get an apartment --i am now living back in florida but i have family in oakland city and would like to be able to live close to them, however i would need an affordable place that would go by income.. are there any available or do they only go to people you personally know?
