Imagine having to to run one of these places when you see a thousand customers a day and you have folks dinging you for have green tomatoes, charging extra for decaf or complaining about expensive milk shakes or food for that matter, oy vey. If it's to expensive, don't go there. Good food cost more. Did you like the food, was the service good? Premium ice cream COST more $. In case you haven't noticed it cost a ton dough to run a business and to do it right cost even more Nothing wrong with criticism when deserved, but for green tomatoes and an extra charge for decaf, come on, get real. From a business owner. Kings Plaza diner is a winner.

Great sun dried tomatoes. The bill comes with extra tax where you have to pay up front. White wines are great here. I come every now and then. I usually come with a group of friends. Matzo Ball, and Clam Chowder soups are awesome here. Just the prices paranoy me. I remember this lady nearby fighting over the price with the waitress, screaming on the top of her lungs. Also another crazy old lady from the neighborhood comes in and annoys people and juggles in their face. Thank goodness she was thrown out. If you are short in cash, save this place to dine in on a rainy day. Pros: Great delicious food, nearby my house, near a mall Cons: Long lines, tax, long wait for food

The food is really good and they give a lot. The downside is that because of this, they're usually packed and the food costs a lot in comparison to other nearby diners. They have a lot of waiters and waitresses who are really nice and patient. Even the owner makes a point to greet people and ask how they're doing. And I have no idea what Jaymez is talking about, complaining about green tomatoes. How uneducated are you? They're pickled tomatoes, they come with the free pickles. I'm not particularly fond of pickled tomatoes, but my father loves them. Pros: Food, service, next to the mall Cons: Price

What's with the green tomatoes? They were green. The onion rings made my face funny - well, funnier than it already is - and I think that it was OK. Then again, nothing makes me happy because I am miserable always. I can't even throw dice properly so don't even listen to my opinion on food. If I can't appreciate a delicious onion ring, there's really no hope for me. Ever. That is all. Pros: I had good company. DBO. Cons: Onion rings and green tomatoes and everything else.

I worked at The Kings Plaza Diner for 10 years. It was the most wonderful place I have ever worked. Just the amount of time that I was there says alot. I too enjoyed the food as we always had access to it . The guys were always so good about letting the staff enjoy the food. That doesn't happen in other restaurants. They run a very tight ship because of the volume of customers that come in the door. It is run extreamly well !!! Thats part of the appeal of working there. The customers are great and I made alot of friends that I miss very much. We moved to Sarasota FL. 4 years ago and I still cry when I think about the best job I ever had. Stop by The Kings Plaza Diner and have a wonderful experience. Cons: That I don't work there. Really miss everyone.

I really do love this diner. It is a little on the expensive side, but the rations are so huge and the food is so good that it makes it worth it. Definitely a welcome change from "fancy restaurants" that overcharge and leave you still hungry afterwards. The service is amazing. There is the occasional sullen waitress, but everyone else is very very pleasant and attentive. This is definitely my favorite place to eat, drink, and just plain hang out with friends. Definitely try the curly fries! Wow! Pros: everything Cons: crowded in the afternoon

Want a good food after shopping at Kings Plaza. Just go right across the street and walk a block and there you are at a nice diner for food much better than the fast food that the mall has to offer us hungry people. They are even open early to late, have free parking for customers. Also very large place so there is usually not a long wait and the service is very attendant so you eat fast and food quality is good.

I have eaten in this diner many times. This is only when I don't have to pay. The prices are very high and the portions are very small. I have paid ten to fifteen dollars for a meal and still be very hungry. The service is sometimes good and sometimes bad. Since the diner is right next to the mall it is very popular. I have waited there up to a half hour. I would not recommend this diner to hungry people.

I like diners, usually pretty good food for your money and Kings Plaza fits the bill. This is not my usual neighborhood however when in Brooklyn this is one of my favorite places to stop for dinner. I usually judge a diner by the quality of their hamburgers and theirs is one of the best, juicy and just the right size. The fries aren't too bad either. The chocolate layer cake is to die for and the service is almost on par with a fine dining establishment.
