Thrift Town

Kind of like the Wal Mart of thrift stores, minus the evil part. This place is huge, filled with all manner of crap. But, if you’re willing to spend the time, gems abound. There’s a few clothing racks that say “better clothes” or something like that, and that’s where I’ve found some sweet suits and vintage things. But don't overlook the regular racks either because you never know. Other reasons to check the place out are shoes, records, broken appliances, and furniture. Everything is cheap cheap cheap. thrift town has tons of clothing for women, some are priced crazy low. while the prices of other items are high, too high for the quality in my opinion. The 2nd floor is all housewares and electronics and there are so many great deals up there! Check out the furniture and the seasonal sections (esp. xmas if you're looking for kitchsy it can't be beat!). lacking are the options for men's clothing especially vintage. kids' sections seem rather sparse; however, i, myself, do not shop for kids. bottom line: if you like to thrift you'll have fun. if you LOVE to thrift and don't want to spend four or more hours doing it (cuz there's just so much to look at) then do like i do and go an hour or two before close. i promise, they are very good at kicking everybody out. :) more

Thrift Town is a fun place to shop for cheap things. They carry almost everything you might need, from clothing, shoes, household items, and electronics. You might have to dig around a bit, but finding that great treasure makes it all worth while. Parking might be tough. It's also Muni accessible. more

Where can you find an incredible selection of hand-embroidered pillowcases, towels, runner, and tablecloths? Thrift Town. Where did I find my favorite Frye boots ever? Thrift Town. With two levels and a million choices you could while away a day in this place. more
