I loved this place when i was young. they have some of the best ice cream and now i live in oregon and miss it sooooo much. i love the butterscotch prailine. its the best. you gotta try it!!

I love this place. Magnolia Pub & Brewery is a must stop while in San Francisco. Not only do they have a fantastic selection of brews, but you can find them in a great atmosphere. This place constantly plays Grateful Dead songs, which go with the theme. The staff is also very friendly. They make you feel at home while dining or drinking here. They also have some great food. I have tried various meals here, and they have all been superb. Be sure to put Magnolia Pub & Brewery on your list of stops in San Francisco.

My large pantry at home really gets used because of the savings I get by buying in bulk. Or so I delude myself.
No really, need some office supplies? They have it! Need gardening do-dads, check too! My favorite is the automotive section. I really can't have enough shammies or oil for my car.
Cosctco competes with Sam's Club and Costco is far superior, hands down!

This is my favorite place for a treat. The gelato is great; my favorite, hands down is the lychee flavor. It's tastes just like lychee, but with a creamier consistency. Whenever my sister returns home to visit, she makes Marco Polo one of the places on her list that she MUST go to in order to get her dessert fix. The flavors are highly addictive, and they use real ingredients in their gelato, not powders. The soursop is a flavor I have been unable to find anywhere else; the cantaloupe is to die for; the durian (if you like durian, it IS an acquired taste) is yummy, my parents love it; the green tea is one of the best in the city; the black sesame was my favorite when I had my wisdom teeth pulled and ate nothing but ice cream and mushy noodles...okay, I'll end my rave here. Seriously, try this place, you won't regret it. There are other flavors I've left out that are more than worth trying, and I highly believe this place is underrated.

The restaurant was busy, and we had to wait a bit by the bar before being seated. However, we didn't even get to order a drink before we got our table. I thought the food and service were great. All the employees were friendly, smiling and greeted us as we walked by. We got our pizza's promptly and they were hot and cheesy with perfect amount of toppings and not too greasy. Drink refills were offered just as we were finishing our first round. It was a bit noisy, but a great place to go for a good time to hang out with friends.

is probably my favorite ice cream place for it's exotic flavors and so many exotic flavors to choose from. it makes ordering a little tricky unless you plan on having more than one dessert. they will also dip your ice cream in chocolate if you are so inclined. this place gets crowded on balmy nights when everyone is out for ice cream! great place to bring the kids and family.

This place has some fun stuff. I didn't fall in love with any of the clothes, but the jewelry and purses were great. They have a nice selection overall and you can usually find something that's not too overly priced for to wear out for the weekend. Staff isn't too friendly, but possibly just caught them on a bad day...?

Aquarius is a small record store in the Mission with a great selection of hard to find records. They feature a large display of staff picks with extensive reviews, making it easy to see if you want to try something new. The store is clean and well lit, the staff is very personable and generally have a good sense of humor. The CDs are organized by music genre in a much more divisive way than most music stores. This store is charming and has loads of great music.
PROS: good atmosphere, nice staff, good selection

Unlike so many music stores, the people who work at Streetlights do NOT make customers feel like dumb clucks with bad taste. I have asked about some really lame (my judgement) CDs and have gotten nothing but respectful help. I love the open friendly unrushed atmosphere. They're wonderful about special ordering so even though it's not the biggest store around, I usually buy my music here!
Pros: good customer svc, easy going 'hood, stock=nice mix
Cons: not huge selection
