I've been going to Church Street Flowers for years and have always left with a smile on my face. The flowers, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and overall feel of the place make this flower shop one of a kind. Even after moving out of town, I still use them for all SF based deliveries to friends/relatives. And whenever anyone receives flowers from Church Street Flowers, the complements are never ending. Really. This place Rocks!

A friend of mine recommended Bubble to me. I wanted to get a cool gift for my nephew in Virginia he is 6 months old. Bubble carries lines for babies like Kingsley, True Religion, Ed Hardy, Joe's jeans, Splendid, Paul Frank not too mention a ton of others. I ended up buying an Ed Hardy jacket and true religions jeans for my nephew. I have no doubt he is the coolest 6 month old in the state of Virginia.
A+++ for coolness...

I love this store. They have tons of neat stuff for children. I buy stuff here for children and teenages. This store is pretty big and spacey. Although it's a bit pricey, this store carries accessories that are not sold anywhere else. They have many different styles of cute things, such as Emily the Strange, Paul Frank and Happy Bunny stuff. The store is very unique and it's hard to find a collection of stuff they have. However, they sell at retail price. Go see the stuff anyways!

A wonderful store! I have been shopping here for many, many years. I live in the neighborhood. I feel comforted knowing that this store is still here, a San Francisco landmark. You have never seen a collection of Limoges boxes or vintage Bakelite jewelry as extensive as this. It makes me happy to shop here, wonderful friendly energy from the owner who is very helpful. She even keeps a bag of treats to give to my dog. The prices are very reasonable, better than most stores and the variety and selection is amazing. You must visit this store!
Pros: Great Limoges boxes and Bakelite jewelry
Cons: nome

I went in to The Gifted Basket last week to get a small bouquet for a friend who was getting out of the hospital. I wanted something quaint yet beautiful and the gifted basket delivered on both of those sentiments. The owner was soooooo nice and patient with helping me to pick out just the perfect flowers for a most memorable arrangement. I had Such a lovely unhurried, human, experience in the midst of the downtown bustle that I won't be going Anywhere else for flowers if i'm anywhere close to downtown ever again!! You Have to check this place out!!

Gables is one of the best stationary stores in San Francisco. I actually know the owner because he was also a teacher. Very nice and funny guy. The story is very nice and interesting. They have lots of stuff a person can play with. The items they have are very unique. I love the rubber duckies they have near the front of the store. They are friendly and answers any question you have for them. Definitely a store I recommend to friends and family and will go to again.

More
Whenever we travel away from our home town of Seattle we always try to stop at a local antique mall to see if we can find any antique and vintage buttons to add to our collection. We learned about the SF Antique & Design Mall from the internet. What we found when we arrived there was an incredible inventory of everything from true historical treasures to wonderful junk. They have it all! Everything is wonderfully displayed without looking cluttered and is very well lit. The staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive, yet didn't make you feel like they thought you were about to break something or were on the verge of shoplifting. It was very relaxed. Being from out of town, we especially appreciated the service we received from "Randy." Randy was dandy! We found what we were looking for and even purchased a couple of great items we weren't looking for. Pricing seems to be fair to both seller and buyer.
There were only two minor "negatives" we can think of. The first was caused by bad timing on our part. The rush hour traffic was horrendous. The second was the upstairs portion of the mall. It wasn't nearly put together as well as the main floor. But these were minor things and did not take away from the enjoyment of our "antiquing" experience in the least. The next time we're in San Fransisco we will make SF Antique & Design Mall one of our priority destinations. We visit a lot of antique malls around the country, but this one surpasses them all. If you go there be sure to ask for Randy.
Pros: Selection. If you don't want to buy it, it's still fun to look at. Like being in a time machine!
Cons: Traffic!

I don't write too many reviews, but I had to for SF Gift Baskets. If you've ever tried ordering a gift basket before (H&D), or tried putting one together yourself, then you know it can be miserable. That is NOT the case with SF Gift Baskets. Mitra, the owner, was extremely helpful and a complete delight to work with on my order. She helped me with over 10 baskets for my company holiday party; for the executives and for a holiday raffle. These baskets were awesome! People were almost tackling each other over these baskets.
Pros: Many options, beautifully put together, extremely friendly owner, great price
