There are many groups that seniors may sign up for to keep themselves active and busy. There are games, festivities, and cultural get-togethers. Bingo and card games, also. There is also a wealth of information on support for making a successful life in spite of health hardships or circumstancial problems. This center is a good resource for volunteer opportunities in the area for seniors that still want to have a tye of career.

I like this particular bookstore because of the size, located, and quiet atmosphere. If it never really crowded so yo ucan browse title without being distracted by all the surrounding people. Its a great place to relax with a great book where you can read just enough to realize if you want to buy it or not. The workers are very friendly, asking if you need help. The prices are a little higher than the chain bookstores, but they have to be to survive.

Glide Church is just not a church by name. They have alot of projects to help the surrounding homeless community. I volunteered there to help serve food to the homeless. It was a wonderful experience. Also they have a toy drive during Xmas to make the children have a great experience. We need more places like this church that is willing to help the community

We happened to be out touring the Pier 39 area with some friends and we thought we would try out the Aquarium of the Bay. We were surprised that we had to ride an elevator to a lower level to get to the aquarium where there was a tunnel made of see-through glass wherein you can see the sealife on the other side. It was disappointly short and at the end was the elevators to take you back up to the upper level to the exit. I don't think I will be going to this aquarium again.

I used to love the San Francisco Zoo when I was younger, but when we recently took my brother for the first time, I realized it was really depressing. What really made me mad was the elephant. There was one big gray elephant that made me sad the most. It was the African elephant, and he just looked so trapped in that little section they had for him. The rhinocerous also made me angry. I used to pity people who hated zoos because the animals are "trapped", but now, I know what they mean. It's horrible.

More
The moment I stepped into Promised Land Fellowship I knew it was the one for me. The worship is contemporary and familiar (Vineyard, Delirious, Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, Enter The Worship Circle, etc). I've since gotten to know the pastor, and he has such a gentle shepherd's heart. He's great.
The people here are genuinely friendly. Looking around, it truly is an example of the diversity in San Francisco. There are many people groups represented, so it's easy to connect with someone of your background or interests. Most importantly, upon getting to know the people here on a deeper level, they have such a heart for the Lord and his work here in San Francisco.
Writing a review for a church is kind of a strange thing, because it's almost like an advertisement or something, but all I can say is come check it out and get a sense of the Lord's leading. If it's here, awesome, if not, then I hope you keep looking until you find the church that God wants you to be in. Blessings!

SF Chinese Alliance Church is an awesome, friendly, welcoming Christian church that has opened its doors to the many who have passed in and out of the City. I attended SFCAC for many years and have watched it grow in its love and diversity. If you are looking for a church, I'd definitely check it out!

Global Exchange is doing some really amazing stuff, just check out their website. They do everything from reality tours to various consumer/environmental campaigns. Medea Benjamin, an activist who ran for office a few years back, is one among the great driving forces behind Global Exchange. The also have some very cool stores in San Francisco, offering all types of hand-made products from all over the world. Definitely keep your eye on this organization!
