I have been using Chris Wheat as my exclusive real estate agent for the past 4 years to rent any vacancies that come up, both commercial and residential. He has only brought me qualified tenants ( many of which are still renting from me). He is a well spoken, clean cut person who speaks with respect and intelligence. My girlfriend and I were originally looking for a place in Brooklyn to move in together. We started in Manhattan, and then decided to take our search to Brooklyn. I have met many brokers, and to say the least, I'm not impressed ....... until I met Chris at Maximus Realty. For starters, he is courteous ( a rarity these days), helpful, and professional. His knowledge of the Brooklyn neighborhoods was a great help to our search. He showed us a number of different apartments, and unlike other brokers, we never felt any pressure to take an apartment quickly or else it was unlikely we would find ""as good a deal for the money"" at another time. You certainly won't find that mentality when working with Chris. We ultimately decided, after all, to take an apartment in Manhattan for commuting reasons, but if we were ever to look in Brooklyn again, we know who to go to.Thank you again Chris for your warm professionalism and honesty!. more

Chris Wheat at Maximus Realty is exceedingly unprofessional. After having a meeting in which he informed me that our agreed-upon move-in date would be delayed, he proceeded to verbally berate me and accuse ME of subterfuge because I wouldn't sign a lease then and there (no need to discuss move dates with my current landlord, I guess). Not only was he verbally abusive, but he also used his large size to attempt to physically intimidate me into signing the lease. Landlords and tenants beware. He seemed perfectly nice at first, then he showed his true colors. more
