Great draft selection, even more bottles, and a laid-back atmosphere make this a nice complement to the Cherry Tree (right across the street). As opposed to the Cherry Tree, which thrives on rowdiness and has a beer selection that's all over the map and without real depth, 4th Ave's fare seems more carefully selected, and its dim, red-tinted lighting (at the expense of the dartboard), jukebox, free popcorn(!), and lack of arcade-style buck-slaying let time pass by at a slower pace.
