Rude and overpriced. 6/5/2011

I think the owner was extremely rude (he used profanity with me) and incredibly condescending, and his prices are unrealistically high given the condition of the items. more

Step up from a regular thrift store 4/11/2006

This store is a bit of a step up from a regular thrift store in that you can find a few glamorous things - like black tie tuxedos, formal dresses, fancy shoes, and all the accessories you could possibly need to accompany such an outfit. They also have some really well-maintained pretty cool furniture. It's always an interesting place to browse. more

Super! 12/17/2005

Nice selection of 2nd hand things, antiques, retro items. Some things rather overpriced, but it’s fun to walk around here and see what they have. You know you’re at Deluxe Junk when you see the big cone of French Fries standing outside greeting you with a wave and a smile. Staff is as friendly as you can expect in Fremont. Never really interacted with them beyond a “hello” since I’ve never bought things there. Fremont Antique Mall has a much larger selection and much lower prices, although Deluxe Junk is a store of its own and has things that Fremont Antique Mall does not. Fun store. Go there just to browse. Never know what you’ll come across more

I loe this store! 10/8/2005

Very nice selection of antiques and kitsch that can be afforded by people on a variety of budgets. They have furniture and a large selection of clothing and artwork, old records and that thing that used to sit on your mother's coffee table when you were younger. I find it just as fun to walk through here and see how many of these things I either owned myself, or how many were owned by older relatives and friends of the family. This is a very nice store on 2 or 3 levels (can't remember) and has a very wide and ecclectic range of items that will suit any budget and decorating style. more

Nifty Thrifty! 8/20/2005

As you can probably tell by my other reviews, I love thrift store shopping and what a better city to do it in than Seattle. Deluxe Junk is in Fremont, and since Fremont is windy and curvy, it's hard to tell you how to get there. It's by the Lenin Statue, if that helps. Oh, and there's a smiling bag of French Fries out front to welcome you inside. Sadly, the smiling fry man isn't for sale, no matter how many times I beg and plead. Deluxe Junk is 2 stories of pure thrift antique pleasure. I can't even begin to list the things they have there--basically, if it was ever invented, Deluxe Junk has at least 2 versions for you to buy. A definite stop if you're into thrifting and antique shopping. more

nice place, but slightly overpriced. 8/18/2005

Deluxe junk is a very fun place to wander around in for awhile. It's rather cluttered, but that's what you expect from a place called Deluxe junk! They have some great vintage stuff, but some of their items are just a little overpriced. Sometimes they have good deals on older furniture though. I think there are many other shops in seattle that are better than this place, but that doesn't mean it's not worth going in there to check it out! more

Great retro finds! 8/17/2005

This well organized shop has a ton of well maintained, very nice retro items. This includes gorgeously unique clothing for men and women, fantastic old style furniture, and a bunch of miscellaneous smaller things like old postcards, random jewelry, stamps, etc. Examples of the clothing they carry are old high quality men’s black tie suits, fancy retro dresses, tons of shoes, and lots of regular clothing as well. Most of the items are very high quality and not necessarily cheap. I’ve even seen a cool 1950’s mint condition motorcycle in there. You just never know what you’ll find. It’s a good place to stop by on a regular basis to see what’s new. more

Great Finds in Freemont 8/16/2005

Deluxe Junk is a retro store with a million fantastic finds. When I first walked into this store. I exclaimed "Wow look at all the cool stuff!" Then when I looked at the price tags I exclaimed "Whoa look how cheap everything is!" Well the second exclamation is not exactly true for everything. This store seems to have an Asian theme with kimonos and parasols. But then on the other hand there is a room with vintage ball gowns and display cases of old cameras. I found an awesome tiled table lamp for $45 which in any other store would cost me $100. Take the time to sort through the many fascinating items. I'm sure you will not walk out of this store empty handed. more

nice antiques, etc 8/5/2005

As the name suggests Deluxe Junk is sort of an extra-nice thrift store. You can find some really nice vintage items and other collectibles here. It's located in Fremont where there are a few other similar stores in the area, but Deluxe Junk seems to stand out as an especially interesting one. more

Unique Fremont "junk" store 7/27/2005

The title pretty much says it all. Deluxe Junk carries pretty much everything under the sun, especially when it comes to used hidden treasures. I've found several great pieces of used furniture that at first glance looked pretty bad, but on second look and with a little work, they're now beautifully displayed in my house. Plus the little kiddies love to uncover kids' toys from the past! more
