Nice place to get together with friends over some libations and pu pus, cool vibe throughout, modern sleek, the cuisine doesn't seem to jibe exactly with the decor (comfort food + ultra modern design?) - but I kinda like that
Pros: Nice drinks & atmosphere
Cons: none

Even though we live on the eastside, we visit Six Seven every Mother's Day for the most awesome brunch around. (The bacon alone is worth the drive but the made-to-order-while-you-wait omelets are great, too.) We also bring out of town guests there for dinner because it's hard to beat the charm of fine dining on the waterfront, even when the weather isn't the best. (In summer, the outside deck is open for seating). There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Wait staff NEVER rushes you and you feel free to relax and enjoy the experience.
Pros: Beautiful waterfront view, creative dishes with NW flair
Cons: Parking can be an issue

Over the past year (including last night), I have had several private and business dinners at Andaluca, all of which have been a fabulous experience. Every aspect of Andaluca from the great service, wonderful cuisine, and romantic ambiance, contributes to an incredible dining experience. The unique menu offers a wide variety of excellent choices for both full entrees or smaller tapas perfect for sampling. The food and presentation is amazing.
My business clients insist on returning to Andaluca each time they visit Seattle.
If you're looking for great atmosphere, with world class service and cuisine, I would highly recommend Adaluca next time you're visiting downtown Seattle.
Pros: Atmosphere, cuisine, service.
Cons: None

If I want to be SURE my wife and I have a lovely meal out, Campagne is where we go. The food is sophisticated, and complex. Every item is prepared with excruciating care. At the same time, the service is relaxed, easy going. They'll never rush you, make you feel stupid, or try to be your buddy. They just bring you what you need, when you need it. The best.
Pros: Sauces, desserts, everything
Cons: Not cheap

Just a fun vibe at this downtown seattle hotel, lot's of communal space, friendly Euro's staying there, and really walkable to a lot of different places. Very inexpensive too (cheap!), but if you are looking for someplace fancy - look elsewhere
Pros: Cool vibe, very walkable to many areas
Cons: Not fancy

We had a delicious lunch the day of our arrival in Seattle (Feb 11th). The Salad Nicoise was fresh & very well prepared as was my fresh cod with perfectly cooked aspargus & yellow beets. The waiter was friendly & attentive. We had the opportunity to meet Michael White, the executive chef & applauded him for his recipes. When I return to Seattle, I will definitely return to Brasserie Margaux.

I travel a lot with my job and am always trying sushi in various places. I tried Red Fin after reading a few reviews here and It was the right decision. I started with the shitake mushroom dumplings which were wonderful; the sauce was awesome. I tried the chef's choice sushi tray and was impressed by the variety that was provided. Usually if you do this, you just get some tuna and mackeral and maybe a shrimp. This tray had a dozen different types of seafood, and it all just melted in your mouth. It was outstanding. I also had my usual order of uni which was also incredibly fresh. I will definitely go back. Oh, and the sake it great as well. Try the Red Fin sampler.
Pros: Amazingly fresh sushi; great appetizers; good service
Cons: It is expensive, be prepared

We stayed overnight at the Edgewater on election night 2009. The room was impeccable and pristine clean. We had dinner there. We ordered from the set menu, $30 for a 3 course dinner. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, and the service was perfect. All in all we give them 5 stars

I had been given a gift certificate for the Max, and was afraid of what I thought would be a closet with a bed (since the cirtificate was the basic class of room), but instead I had a PERFECT room for a night away! The size was larger than expected after reading previous reviews, the bed was absolutely the most cozy I have slept in, and even the bath robes were plush! I was on the 8th floor and had somewhat of a view (as much as can be expected in an older building in a modern city setting), and slept with my windows open with no interruption. I have to admit, after all the negative written by others I was afraid to stay. Now I think that just because they are used to the large lack-luster rooms of the national chains, that a room such as boutiques offer, one that is not absolutely cavernous is somehow shortchanging them. The amenities were high end, the furniture was very relaxing, the toiletries very nice quality, and the staff friendly- I honestly couldn't have asked for anything more. Even the art pieces in the room were unique, no prints. How often do you see this in a hotel?
Yes, the art can be a little racey, but that is the job of art is to make you see things in a way you normally wouldn't, to appreciate that which in another context my make you less apt to ponder, or even worse to take it for granted. Initially I was caught off-guard when I first walked in, but after one or two times of passing bye the "noted" picture next to the front desk I had to stop and look- it is a painting of such fine work that it looks like a photo. I am saddened that someone wouldn't stop to actually look at the work rather than the mere subject. I may not have it in my livingroom, but I can say that the art is of superior standard.
Thank you Max, you have given me hope that sometimes there is more than meets the eye!
Pros: comfort, quiet, and plush surroundings
Cons: none I noted
