Ever since I graduated college, I stopped going to UW's Newman Center. I know they welcome everyone, but there is no parking and it just isn't convenient. However, I did love their service. The sermon was always relevant and interesting to me as a college student and the parish was young and fun. I'm still looking for a church with similar qualities in Seattle. So far, St. Joe's on capital hill is the closest.

More
The statement "artists are made, not born" guides the Seattle Academy of Fine Art (SAFA). And thank god for that, because if they believed otherwise the results of my first drawing in class would be enough label me a non-artist forever. But with the encouraging, creative environment and instruction at SAFA my drawing skills have improved, and I can now draw and egg that looks like an egg. SAFA offers classes on drawing, painting and sculpture at all skill levels. Classes may seem a little pricy at first glance, but the high level of instruction and small class size ensure it is worth the investment.
The next time you are thinking about broadening your horizons or tapping into your creative side, visit SAFA. They will help make you an artist.

The Ruins is a private club in Seattle - you need to know a member to get in. Jon Staenberg took us and a gang there Friday night. It was in an old warehouse that looked like all the furniture came from 20 different estate sales. The service was incredible - our waiter was attentive, we had a semi-private room, and we hung out for almost four hours without feeling rushed. It was a very subdued environment, but the vibe felt great - just what we wanted to have to chill out on a Friday night. The food was solid - not out of this world - but we didn't care since we were having so much fun. It's a totally casual place (we were all in jeans and t-shirts) so there was no "stuffiness" that you often get at private clubs. Dessert was amazing and was a great way to cap off the evening. If anyone ever invites you to The Ruins, take them up on it.

More
I work for a small foundation that supports counseling for greiving children. We provide anticipatory and greif counseling to children who are losing a parent or sibling. All of our services are provided for free. Since we are a fundraising group, we need paper and envelopes for sending out thank you cards and mailers, etc. You can read more about it at www.safecrossingsfoundation.org. I am a Judy's book member so you can contact me internally.
Also, there is a great website for local non-profits called NDOA (Northwest Development Officers Association) They would be able to list this kind of donation and many local org.s could view it. www.NDOA.org

If you drive along the 4th Ave in downtown Seattle, you are sure to notice an unique building with all glass exterior in a shape you can't quite figure out what it stands for. Well, this is the new Seattle Public Library. The library is designed by Rem Koolhass. I believe on the shape of the library supposedly represent an open book. I will have to admit it's hard to tell. But whether you like the design or not. It is a very good library. The membership is free if you are a King County resident. There are 7 stories inside of the library with tons of great books including lots of international books. Self check-outs are every where as well as free computers with internet access. You can also hold a book online with a few clicks. I have been using it very frequently.

I haven't had any personal experience with Don but he gets glowing references from people that I trust. Your experience might be different.
I don't know if would make sense to set up three appointments and agree on one person picking the two that the other gets to pick the one from.
I couldn't choose perfect because I have never heard any one describe their therapist as perfect.

Sometimes a bit kitchy and heavy the chachkeys (spelling?) but they've got a nice music section and you can listen to samples of most things before you buy them. They've got a pretty diverse selection of books for all ages. Also they have great seasonal sales, and the kosher deli next door makes tasty rugelach and other treats.

More
Shoreline Library is part of the King County Library System. Located on 175th and 5th street, this fairly large library has a good variety of books, videos, cds, etc. There are also many computers to work on. However, it does tend to get pretty busy in the afternoons, so make sure to sign up ahead of time if you want a computer. A large children's section and wide aisles make this a good pick for kids. It also hosts storytimes for children of different ages.
