Nice bowling alley close to downtown Yakima, on South 2nd street.
Kind of in a shady part of town, and can be creepy to be there at night and walking to your car. Make sure you bring either a friend, or a gun with you (just kidding...kind of).
Bowling leagues and variety of hours. Not bad, considering it's one of two bowling alleys in Yakima (isn't it odd that there's rarely more than two of ANYTHING in yakima?)
Relatively highly reccomended only because if's one of the few things that you can do in Yakima without having to drive to Seattle.

It seems my experience with Nob Hill Animal Clinic is quite different from the other user who rated this place.
I have gone round and round with this clinic, attempting to get my cat treated for (what I've been told by other vets) is a relatively common issue. Rather than doing the necessary testing to ensure that my cat's problems aren't a symptom of a larger issue, the staff here keeps trying the same thing over and over again.
Albert Einstein says that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Well, based on this definition, I feel that Nob Hill Animal Clinic is the epitome of the word "insanity". I have paid them several several hundreds of dollars in ONE MONTH for ineffective treatment, yet they refuse to try something else. I mean, the vet wasn't even aware of a popular, frequently prescribed, common medication used for cats that have the problem that mine has! Talk about ineffetive!
Cannot reccomend this office to anyone. I feel I'm suffering your pet to unecessary pain if I do, and suffering you to paying exorbrant fees and costs for treatment that doesn't work. NOT reccomended at all. Wish I could give this place ZERO STARS

Kadlec Medical Center (pronounced Cadillac) is in the heart of Richland, WA, about an hour and a half south of Yakima.
Very nice hospital. Staff members are professional and friendly. Only downside is that the hospital is VERY windy and there are alot of hallways and corners and confusion pathways from point A to point B. Just to get from the front door to the cafeteria takes at least a 7 minute walk through 10 different hallways. I wish the hospital was a bit less confusing.
Great cardiac staff that are among the highest rated in the country. If you're in the Tri-Cities and are in need of great medical care, Kadlec Medical Center is the place to go.

As simple as it sounds, I had an issue with my windshield wiper. There was a time in the winter when I was unaware that the wiper had frozen to the glass and attempted to turn on the wipers to clear a view.
In doing so, I rendered one side (thankfully, the driver's side) of my window wiperless. I had called around and had gotten a whole bunch of hemming and hawing from different mechanics about how I'd have to make an appointment, diagnostic tests, possible wiring issues...I felt like I was being taken for a ride before I even stepped foot in the shops.
Thankfully, I came across the number for Advanced Automotive. I thought I'd give them a call, seeing as they were right down the road from where I was. I was assured that if I came right away, it could be fixed for $10 and in less than 10 minutes. Straight away I drove there and was greeted by a friendly gentelman and his worker. Armed with a screwdriver, the worker went outside and in THREE minutes, my once defunct wiper was as good as new. Ten Dollars. Not $100. There was no diagnostic testing, nor was I warned that my wiring could go any day.
I got honest and inexpensive service for a simple and common problem. Kudos to Advanced Automotive!

My dryer had gone out, at all times, on a Sunday evening. Mr. Dingman was the only home-service repair company that was willing to come out and not charge nearly $100 for the call. His rates were very reasonable and I felt he was brutally honest about my dryer situation and never felt like he was trying to rip me off or sell me more than I needed.
The only downside to Mr. Dingman is that he is a little bit talkative. The work he did only took about 30-45 minutes, but he honestly spent at least an hour extra just talking and talking and talking. He's nice enough, though. Just don't make the mistake of offering him a seat. He'll never leave :D

YVMH is the "nicer" hospital in town, and a bit more modern than Yakima Regional. They have a hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber here for hard-to-heal wounds, and one of the best cardiac teams in the US.
Great hospital with a wonderful staff. Very much highly reccomended.

I had the opportunity to spend some time at Yakima Regional and was absolutely amazed by the caring and compassionate nature of the staff. For some reason, this hospital gets a bad rep around town. I think that has more to do with the CEO and management than the actual professionalism of the health care workers. I've spent time in hospitals in many large cities and small towns, and feel that Yakima Regional is definitely in my top 5 hospitals. Very highly reccomended.

Located on King St. in Downtown Charleston. Local Landmark—has been around forever. Everyone knows what Grannie’s Goodies is. Large selection of retro clothing and accessories. Amazing t-shirt collection that stretches at least the last 30+ years. Can find the occasional 1930’s-50’s era clothing but at a premium price. Clothing is mostly used (there are some new things), and in good condition---not “goodwill” condition. Slightly overpriced, but just consider the condition of the clothing. Staff is friendly and approachable. Keep an eye out for the guy that only wears Farrah Fawcett t-shirts. He’s like a local legend.

Great mechanics. Recommended by a friend. Close to my house so I decided to take my car there the last time it needed work. Staff is friendly and didn’t feel like I was getting the run-around. Pricing was fair and turnaround time was astounding. DIdn’t feel like I was getting ripped off, or that my car would suddenly “come down” with another problem as soon as I left the lot. Highly recommended, as good mechanics are hard to come by.

Great shopping center in the heart of Downtown Seattle. Have large merry-go-round in the public square during the Christmas season. Always a protestor or something outside. Large pedestrian area outside the mall, great for meeting friends or just hanging out and watching people. Easy access by most busses that go to/from Capitol Hill and Downtown. Many very interesting shops that you don’t normally find in a mall. Very large food-court area with several dozen restaurant choices that, again, you don’t find in most malls: Indian. Cajun, Curry, Soup, Seafood, Mongolian BBQ, etc. Very nice place that is strangely often overlooked by tourists. In the main shopping area of Pine Street. A must-stop!
