I highly recommend this place. Be sure to ask for someone who won't make it a chummy conversation.

I simply adore Frenchy's. It is minutes from my home and everyone there is polite, fun and creative. The merchandise is a slice of heaven, a little something for everyone.
Julie is the best for manicures. I have had French manicures for years with others and she is the most meticulous and they look very natural.
Most of the pedicure ladies are great, I tend to jump around because they are all really good and take their time with pride and perfection.
Erin or Janetta are excellent ladies for waxing.
I love the atmosphere here, very colorful, very girly, it is like a girls club. You rarely see a man in here, so the vibe is very relaxed.
Viktoria is THE BEST MASSAGE THERAPIST on the planet. I have been having massages for over two decades and no one comes close to her services. She does deep tissue work for your most stressed and tense areas of your body. She only works on Thursdays, but is worth the wait if you can make a Thursday appointment.
The front staff are friendly and always co-ordinated with appointments via phone and in person. Joanne, the manager is the hippest lady on the planet.
Cheers!
Lisa Rothschild~

The instructors at Yoga Tree are very well trained and are dedicated to their practice. They are friendly and helpful and welcome to working with people at all levels. I've always felt safe and included in all of the classes I've been to at Yoga Tree. They have classes for various levels including lots of speciality workshops sprinkled through out the year. It's a good idea to check out their website often to see what's happening. The only downside is that some people may consider it a bit expensive at around $12 or so a class, but you certainly get what you pay for.

I was about to give up on Supercuts until I came across Robert Shaffer at the University Ave location. It wasn't just that the haircuts I got were bad (they were), but they were always bad in a different way, so you couldn't even give specific instructions to try to correct for the problem. Anyway, Robert may not inspire confidence at first glance - he's pretty much bald himself - but he's a consummate professional - great results every time, plus he's a genuinely nice guy. If you want a great haircut and you live in north seattle, this is the place to go.

I am a college student, and I really like the haircut that Miss Cherry gives me. Cherry owns the salon and cuts hair herself. She is very friendly, and her price is very reasonable (I paid $11). Definitely recommended, Cherry knows her stuff.

I just started going here. It's big, clean and has mass equipment; Two full free weight racks, more resistance and cardio machines than you can count. I’ve never waited for a piece of equipment at Sound Mind & Body. They also have a full basketball court, yoga studio, with separate rooms for cycling and aerobics classes. What I really like about this gym is the fact that ALL the classes are free. My last gym was the original “rich guy gym”, redonculously plush in ways only the fat and rich can appreciate and they still nickel and dimed ya by making you pay for a cycling, yoga or abs classes. The location of Sound Mind & Body doesn’t hurt either. It’s right next to the Fremont Bridge so as you spin, run or pump you get a beautiful view of the water with the boats floating by. Class A gym.

i used to go to $$ places to get my hair cut; believing that only professional stylists could give me a good cut......and then i foudn rudy's; a chain of walk in shops around seattle that hires good folk, has edge and is cheap (less than $20 for a h/c; under $10 if all you want is a strait buzz cut).

... and it'll do a better job. Maybe they've changed over the years, but I stopped going long ago when I came out way more than $13 poorer; I looked like some 80's chop shop hair band revivalist. Go somewhere else at all costs!
