I read the favorable reviews and decided to give them a try. When the repair person, Eli, came over he told me that my stuck lock had to be totally changed. He quoted a price of $310 which I thought was high, then reduced it to $290. When he started to install the new lock set I asked him if he could use the Medico lock cylindas I had and he said no. He told me that if I wanted Medico that the jobt would go from $290 to $600. He really insisted that it would!. He then told me that if I bought the Medical lock cylindas (2 of them) that he would only charge me $50 to do it. We did that. After he left I realized that the second door lock had to be rekeyed so that it would work as before with only one key. This isn't a big deal to do. Eli promised to come over. When he arrived and took apart the lock he claimed that the entire lock had to be replaced for $225! This lock was in perfect working order. This is what he pulled the first time with the other door. I called because I lost my keys to my car and needed some quick. The lady on the phone was very nice helpful,and even gave me an estimated arrival time. The technician called me about 5 minutes after I placed my call to the office and told me he would be at my house in less than 10 minutes. He showed up in 7 and had my key in less than 30. Wow. Steve from Carroll Gardens Deadbolts & Keys just left after re-keying 8 locks, installing two deadbolts and making several keys for me. Like all the other reviews here, Steve was as professional as can be, good to talk with, prompt and did excellent work. He cleaned everything up nicely from the installation, made sure I was happy with everything, charged reasonable rates and explained them fully both before and after he did the work...if everyone did work this good the world would be a better place. more

This is an amazing company! I called around a few places before finding Carroll Gardens Deadbolts & Key and nobody even compares in customer service! They were incredibly helpful! They knew exactly what he was talking about.
