i go there pretty often because its near my apatment, but this is over now, expensive rental, unfriendly staff, charge too much for late fee

They carry ALL the criterion releases, and organize them as such. They give some directors their own sections. They've got an awful lot of obscure titles. And they've got huge tracts of land. Last but not least, the staffers know from video. more

Lost Weekend 5/19/2006

Dollar rentals on Wednesday. And they let you keep 'em for a while if they’re not new releases. Whatever rental places you’re a member of, you should add this one to your portfolio, because those dollar rental days are a huge boon to your entertainment budget. One of the better stores in the city in terms of selection too – the regular stuff and also, foreign, music movies, obscure flicks… makes a great supplement to a Netflicks subscription... more

Rockin' video store 8/18/2005

Owned by one of the nicest guys you will meet in the business, Lost Weekend has been filling a need in the Mission for a number of years now -- a video rental place first and foremost, but also one that understands the tastes and interests of its clients. Plenty of first run mainstream movies to satisfy some tastes but even more niche genres, classic TV series, directors' series, and so on. If you can't find it here, you probably can't find it more

Great store 7/16/2005

If you're looking for a hard to find video, try looking here. They've got all sorts of movies, and also have a great selection of international films. The staff is also very helpful. I come here quite often since its so close to home, so they know me by now and recommend films that they think I like. So far, they haven't been wrong. more
