great restaurant for family dinners or even dates 4/5/2006

Hyde Park Bar & Grill is a great restaurant to go to for all occasions. I have been here for family dinners as well as for dates and special occasions. The food is absolutely wonderful. My only complaint is the waitstaff can be clumsy. I've had food dropped on either me or my bag three times within the last year, but maybe I'm just unlucky. Overall a great restaurant though. more

Hyde Park Bar & Grill 3/22/2006

Hyde Park is one of those restaurants that you must go to if you live in Austin. If for nothing else, to find out what all the fuss is about those fries. After several years of reading that they were the best in Austin, I went to try it out myself. And it didn't miss the mark. They are regular fries, but crunchier, tastier and they come with a dipping sauce that's part ketchup, part mayo (I'm guessing). It's spicy and it totally complements the fries. Their burgers are juicy and they sometimes have a lunch special of a crabcake burger that's to die for. If you happen to go when they have this special, you must try it. It's one of the tastiest things in town. more

Hyde Park Grill has great fries 3/22/2006

Hyde Park Grill has these great french fries and a special sauce for dipping that is very addictive. You can get good sandwiches and basic American fare for lunch or dinner. The place is often packed on weekend nights due to the proximity to campus. Wait staff is generally good, but I've had some stinkers. more
