Hyde Park is one of those restaurants that you must go to if you live in Austin. If for nothing else, to find out what all the fuss is about those fries.
After several years of reading that they were the best in Austin, I went to try it out myself. And it didn't miss the mark. They are regular fries, but crunchier, tastier and they come with a dipping sauce that's part ketchup, part mayo (I'm guessing). It's spicy and it totally complements the fries. Their burgers are juicy and they sometimes have a lunch special of a crabcake burger that's to die for. If you happen to go when they have this special, you must try it. It's one of the tastiest things in town.
