Hobby Company is a great shop for arts and crafts projects. They have a large selection of beads and ribbons that I really like. Their prices are good and I don't have to trek very far to get what I need. They also sell many train sets and model cars. Teen boys love to go there to look and play with them. Great variety shop for those who like to build projects. more

The Hobby Company Of San Francisco has everything you need to start a fun project with your kids or for yourself. They have project ideas and can show you easy techniques for many. It is a good place to bring your kids and keep them away from Nintendo. But beware, this place is more expensive than those large retailers, but it is definitely more charming. more

Besides being a tourist trap, the Geary neighorhood offers some great retail stores where city dwellers can purchase necessary items. And what supplies aren't necessary to today's creative artist or avid sewer? Hobby Company Of San Francisco offers supplies for all areas of crafting and art, plus a collection of specialty fabrics, embellishments and trims! Also available in their store are greeting cards, all types of specialty papers, coloring books, and various crafting books. more

This place is expensive but they have some really good stuff. The store is pretty big and they have all kinds of supplies to fulfill your arts and craft needs. The service is pretty good. They're always willing to help. Overall I give this store 4 stars, one star was deducted for the price. more

Hobby enthusiasts come aboard. 9/9/2005

The hobby company has been around for a while, and they offer a great selection of different hobby products, that are meant for not only kids but adults as well. There Radio Controlled gadgets are a bit expensive, however there are some other moderately priced hobbies. I would recommend stopping by if your planning to take on a new hobby, or just planning to get your hands on something you missed during your childhood. This place is an adult's playground, great for all ages alike. more

Right here is a great place to begin your hobby. They have everything for your needs. Don't hesitate to ask the workers there because they'll help you find anything even if they don't have it. They'll refer you to some place else that does. Somethings are very expensive, but you get what you paid for. more

They sell everything for the needs of your hobby, but the problem was that you had to be the age of 18 or over to go in this store, I have no idea why. This place was generally for school kids that had a project to do, but the problem was that they did not have a very large stoke of everything, they run out very quickly when a school project is assigned. more

Great place! 8/17/2005

Hobby Company of San Francisco was one of my favorite stores as a kid. They have lots of arts and crafts type materials, but they also have toys and games. This is a great place to go with children, or a great place to shop for children's gifts. It's a small store, but it's fun to browse the selection. more

hobby company is a good arts and crafts hobby store. their selection of RC parts is minimal, they are more oreinted to arts and crafts and make it yourself projects. the store is good, you just have to know what to expect and what you want. they have all types of glues, materials, and project materials you could ever want. their location is convinent. more

Get everything you need for a project 7/16/2005

This is a huge store that has virtually anything you would need for a school project or a personal project. There isn't another store in San Francisco that has such a large selection of random supplies. The staff is also extremely helpful, which is important because the place is so large you might have a hard time finding what you need. more

This place is really good for all your project needs. It's pretty big and have really good services. The place is packed with supplies. The workers have tons of ideas to help you out. They have many items on display which will help you with more ideas. The price is a bit heavy, but I think it is worth it. more
