Good Chinese Food 10/17/2005

Yet another of my "hole in the wall" restaurants! This one is a chinese one in the Sunset. The servers are really friendly and the food is good here. They also have a banquet room upstairs if you have a bigger party (although not huge, but a good size). They have a value menu that you can ask for with a variety of dishes to choose from. They also have the traditional "family banquet" meal that you can choose from for parties of 10. Their servings are very generous, so come with an appetite. My favorite, the crab! more

Good food 8/16/2005

Eight Immortals Restaurant cooks some pretty authentic Chinese food and I enjoyed the diverse menu selections. The prices are good and the food is good--not too oily. It seems like the place is always crowded, and sometimes the wait for a table can be long. Parking is not too bad. more

i have been going to eight immortals resturant since i was a little boy and i love this place. the food is great. the prices are very reasonable too compared to some other chinese resturants in san francisco. one thing you must try is the salt and pepper spareribs. parking will be somewhat hard to find and reservations should be made on weekends because of all the buisness.i recommend this resturant to everybody. more

One of the best in SF 7/29/2005

Not the greatest Chinese restaurant in the world but one of the best in San Francisco. Easily better than the food I've found in Chinatown. The prices are low and the dishes are hearty. Doesn't feature any real unique dishes but all around it is excellent. i highly recommend this if your looking for a Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. more

Great chinese food in the sunset 7/11/2005

A great place to eat with friends as long as you make reservations ahead of time. A fantastic menu with everything you can think of. Family menus are the way to go as you get a little of everything at a great price. 2 floors of tables are available despite the place being a bit small. Good service and the food comes quickly. Parking is decent but you may have to circle a bit. My favs are the seafood dishes: walnut prawns, fresh steamed fish, clams etc. A little stuffy inside as there are no windows on the bottom floor. Definitely try it out! more
