Clift Hotel

We honeymooned at Ian Schrager's Clift hotel on Valentine's Day weekend. It was fantastic. The location is convenient to shopping. In typical Ian Scrager style, the hotel is unmarked and was a little difficult to find. However once we figured it out, the valet immediately came to get our bags and our car. The inside of the hotel is decorated in very modern & fun decor. There is a bar and a restaurant (Asia de Cuba), both of which we tried. The rooms were a decent size and plenty clean and comfortable. Probably the biggest downfall to this hotel is the cost of the food, both in the restaurant and room service. Bruch cost us almost $90. However, with an abundance of choices outside of the hotel, this problem is easily resolved. more

A few friends and I got a suite at the Clift hotel for my birthday recently, and I was very impressed with the entiriy of the experience. The suite had a living room/dining room shared area, a bedroom, a vanity room and a bathroom. The overall decor was beautiful, soft, sublte colors orange and purple pastles, with mirror table tops. The mattress on the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The only disappointment was the bathroom, it was small, cramped and not near as lovely as the rest of the room. Definitely order room service, if you go, the food is absolutely amazing! more
