This bar and lounge occupies the entire 39th floor and consists of two large rooms, each stuffed with chairs and tables strategically placed in view-friendly spots. There's a piano for live jazz and a gigantic, semicircular, jukebox-shaped window in each room offering views over the Bay Bridge (to the east), and Twin Peaks and City Hall (to the west). Specialty cocktails include the Raspberry Cookie--Vox raspberry vodka, Jägermeister, butterscotch schnapps, Bailey's and Goldschlager
It's all about the view from the top. Drinks are average, but pricey. Service was pretty slow even though the place wasn't crowded.

Mirrors above the bar and window-lined walls keep this hallway of a space from feeling cramped. Lots of bench seating and cocktail tables let the after-work crowd relax, while providing enough space for night crawlers to rock out. Tea-light sconces, mahogany woodwork and crimson hanging lampshades provide warmth without feeling too put together. A trip to the restrooms provides patrons with a refreshingly pleasant experience; they're clean with stocked supplies and marble counters--more classy bistro than partied-in watering hole.

I frequent Los Angeles, Miami and SF and this club is one of my favorites. Not only is the music excellent but the atmosphere is superb and the general feel of the club is more european style/cozy than what most of the US is used to. It is also nice to be in a place that is full of beautiful people. Make sure to check out the VIP section upstairs...

The bartenders rock! Drinks are Faboo!
DJ's vary, weekend guy is quirky but gets the teeny dance floor all sweaty and hot...that's good.
Who will be dj'ing is always a surprise.

Club Six is nice but good luck finding parking! once you do find parking, you'll find it a nice place to be. i love this place cause the people are great and the bar isn't swarming packed. upstairs is huge and loungey. the dance floor downstairs is HOT because it's a basement. i didn't think that was such a bright idea, but oh well. i still like the place. i do reccomend it here because it's a good vibe and great music!

Bubbly is the focus at this sophisticated champagne bar (three by the glass, nine by the bottle), but imbibers who line the lipstick-red-lit bar and matching retro tulip seats on the left and half-moon booths to the right down any number of creative cocktails on the extensive menu. Though the crowd is more lawyer than leatherman, the boys come in all shapes and sizes. Just don't wear red if you expect any of them to notice you. Tunes ranging from breathy Duran Duran covers to Nirvana acoustic fill the showbox-shaped space.

181 is probably the best club in the city. There's some attitude at the door but once you get in it's a worthwhile experience. Drinks are very expensive, but I guess they can afford to do it since people keep coming back for more. The music upstairs was good, downstairs was hit or miss. But overall everyone there is attractive and not pretentious which is what separates this club from the rest of SF.

We decided to try out the new Sunday Brunch at Mars and both ended up having the "Omelette Special of the Day" which turned out to be anything we wanted! The food was good ... the roasted potatos were fab and he omelettes were delicious - they were decent in size (not huge - which is fine by me). All the ingredients were fresh and put together by someone who can cook (not like some of the hacks in other places). The service was attentive, without being intrusive and the bartender was a nice guy. Personally, I liked the music ... it was an eclectic mix of 80s and 90s stuff. The outside patio is quite nice with some funky plastic flowers mixed in with the usual (real) greenery. All in all, Mars is an attractive place (better than the exterior would suggest). We'll be going back again, for sure.

The food was good and the bloody marys were better but the service was horrid. The serving staff was too pretentious for such a place. They explained to us that they could not seat us because they had so many large groups coming in at any moment. We were there for 2 hours and saw no groups come in. The waitress was indifferent and when we asked if we could get a table due to the nonexistent clientelle she stated "I'll talk to some people and see what we can do." What people?! Her agent? The overall feel I got was a "Hipper than thou why aren't we in Manhattan" feel. I would go back for the tasty food and drinks but can't say much for the staff.
