Didn't find what I wanted, but came really, really close. 12/28/2009

Only four stars simply because they didn't have a purple leash set I'm looking for. As a matter of fact, I haven't found it yet on any of the other Bay Area pet store either. I started looking online, but so far, the closest thing I could find is a Lynne Ellen Designs alligator in a mauve color? Something like that, which isn't the same thing, but pretty close. I haven't received a close-up shot of the item yet, I'll update you. Anyway, props to the excellent selection of organic foods, treats, etc. at Bow Wow. They're really cool! They also have one of the largest selections of leashes. Didn't find what I wanted, but came really, really close. more

Incredible 5/4/2009

I take PJ to the San Carlos store about once a month for grooming; the staff and groomers are wonderful. PJ can't be caged for very long as she has anxiety attacks and they have accommodated her needs entirely. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable all the time. The store always has great things to buy for your pet. We couldn't asked for much more. more

I get to visit Bow Wow Meow at least once a month for grooming. Last December I had some sort of attack while in their care and they were so observant that they rushed me to the nearest Vet, called my owners and I am here today because Louise was on top of the signs that I was in trouble. I still visit Louise once a month for my grooming, but now she takes me first thing on a Saturday morning and I am out by 9:30, as my owner thinks I can't be left for too long. I am so happy to see everyone when I visit Bow Wow Meow in San Carlos and I feel so safe too! Thank you Louise for being so loving and caring to me and all the other pet friends that come into Bow Wow Meow! Love Peejay more

Bow Wow Meow 3/10/2006

I love getting my dog groomed here because the service is top-notch and the prices are reasonable (unlike at Petco). It also has a good selection of treats, bones, toys, dog food, and even clothes for your dog. If you are looking for books about how to care of your pet, this a good place to get them. The staff is very knowledgeable and polite. more

very cool place 11/13/2005

Bow Wow Meow is a very cool place to pick up some presents for that pampered pooch or kitty. I love all of the novelty items they sell. I was so pleasantly surprised that this store is actually reasonable priced too. Other stores of this caliber are much higher priced, meaning I can come here and buy stuff often. My pets simply love when I rturn from this place! more

Fox loves Bow Wow Meow.... 10/13/2005

My dog Fox is the heart and soul of my apartment. However, when he starts to stink up...it makes it really hard to cuddle with him. Bow Wow Meow on Polk has a great grooming service. The groomers are SO nice and they are great working with all kinds of dogs. Fox is a bit schizo when it comes to other dogs, and they did a good job of keeping him calm. Since BWM is on Polk, you can drop your dog off and have a nice meal and do some shopping. Convenience is the name of the game....As soon as you know it, your dog comes out smelling clean, and he doesn't look traumatized either....so that's good, right?! more

Cool and Unique Pet Food and Toys 8/16/2005

Bow Wow Meow has really cool pet foods and toys, some of which I had no idea were made for pets. It's hard to imagine ice cream and food made with real chicken for dogs, but Bow Wow Meow has them! Reasonably-priced on most of their items, but they do not have a super wide variety of things (but the things they do have are really cool). more
