I had just moved to San Francisco and unfortunately needed to leave my dog for the week of 4th of July. I was very nervous about boarding my dog as I've had some bad experiences in New York City and my dog is now petrified of being left at an unknown location. Unfortunately, we were in a pinch and had to do it anyway. We choose Pooches Playtime and it turned out to be the best decision we made!
We dropped off our little dog, Wrigley, for daycare first to see how he liked the atmosphere before leaving him overnight. Wrigley was, as always, so scared when we left him, but they gently took him and cuddled him and assured us everything would be fine. Throughout the day, they emailed us about how Wrigley was doing and said since he was so shy, they would put him in with the puppies. That made us feel much better. Later that day, Molly called and said she was willing to keep Wrigley overnight, but that it didn't seem like he was having much fun. We asked if there were problems and she said no. He's fine... he just isn't having much "fun" and we want our dogs to all have a great time. So she said she was going to take him up to her apartment with her and that he could stay up there with her for the week and could sleep with her at night. We were so happy and shocked! I have never had someone go so out of their way to make my dog happy!
Throughout the week, Molly continually emailed cute stories about how Wrigley was doing and the friends he was making. They even took him to the park one day even though we didn't pay for it. They just wanted him to be happy!
Our experience was amazing. Molly and her staff truly love their dogs and are not doing it for the money (something I feel like some places do!). Wrigley was happy, clean and taken care of as if he was their own. I will never leave him with anyone else. Pooches Playtime was INCREDIBLE!
Pros: Molly and her caring staff, personal attention, genuine love for animals, reasonable prices
Cons: None!!

My bichon, Jake, has been going since he was 7 months -is now 3 years - and dearly loves it. He goes for day care once or twice a week for the play and stimulation of being with the other dogs. I investigated other places, but no where else comes close to the care and attention that he receives here.
I call it "sport camp" when he boards - he comes back strong and buffed from the constant play.
He's happy, I know he's safe, well cared for and given lots of attention. That's perfection.
Pros: excellent day care, excellent boarding
Cons: no cons

Great place with very knowlegeable and friendly people. My 2-month-old puppy was completely calm and relaxed the whole time, even when she was getting a shot, and I credit the vet's friendly and calming demeanor. It's also easy to get an appointment (I got my puppy on Sunday and had an appointment for her shots on Monday) and the health coverage that the hospital offers is comprehensive and relatively inexpensive. All around good experience and great quality of care.

I have a beautiful rescue dog that had a lot of fear aggression to the point where snapping would take place when he felt threatened or in danger.
Bev took the time with me to go over the reasons why this was happening, what she would be doing as a trainer, what she expected of me as a pet owner and how my dog would fall in line if I stuck to the program. I immediately saw positive changes and behaviors after following Bev's instruction.
She would go on walks with me, demonstrate EXACTLY what to do in this situation or that situation and probably spent more time than she should have with all my neurotic questioning. Not to mention I would call her constantly with questions on what to do IF this happened or THAT happened. I too am not a big fan of prong collars, however, I trusted in Bev's knowledge of dogs, their physicality and the one she suggested (actually gave me) did not hurt him at all. The moment that collar went on him during our walks, he was a changed dog.
Nearly two years later, I am still calling asking for her help when *I* have not lived up to my bargain in keeping up the constant training with my dog. Bev does have a "to the point" mentality and could come across as harsh or non-caring. But, she HAS to be that way when dog owners do not live up to their end of the bargain and the seriousness involved. It's not the DOG, it's the owner!
She is giving of herself and devotes a lot of her time and energy to helping dogs, helping rescues and helping owners learn how to become better "parents." I am blessed to have found her!
Pros: Always available for help and advice!

I went out of town and had my dog stay at Wags Hotel, as he always does whenever I'm away. This time, he had his own suite as usual, had a daily 20 minute zen massage, had a daily bully stick snack, 3 walks a day, plus 2 play sessions a day with other dogs in their daycare section.
I saw him on the camera in his suite, howling!!! Except I think he was playing a practical joke on the people as every time he does this, the door almost always open immediately. I guess they're checking to make sure he's ok.
He's a spoiled, wise guy, that's my son :)

This place is a great place to get a pet or pet supplies. The employees provide very good service. They have many different types of small animals (i.e. hamsters, iguanas, birds, etc.) I don't remember seeing dogs or cats though, but they do sell dog and cat products. Overall I give this place 5 stars.

I took my two dogs to Four Wet Feet to get their nails clipped and came away with not only happier dogs, but also came away with a great experience for myself. My dogs HATE to get their nails cut and in the past when I've had it done elsewhere it pretty much became a wrestling match between them and the person doing the clipping. Having Robbie at Four Wet Feet take care of us was not only a very positive experience for my dogs but me as well. He actually got on the floor with the dogs to make them feel comfortable! He was gentle, caring and had such a positive attitude with us. It is such a great relief to find a place that loves dogs as much as the people who bring their dogs in. Go check it out...you won't be disappointed.
Pros: Friendly, caring, clean
Cons: None
