Fresh Choice is cheap and you can get quite a bit of food for your money (depending, of course, on how big your stomach is). The food there is of mediocre quality - the salads are never neither very fresh nor good tasting. I love the mac and cheese and the soups, but there is usually little selection. The place is usually clean and crowded with people. Overall, it's a nice place to eat lunch if you don't want to burn a hole in your wallet.

My meal at the Elephant Bar wasn't the greatest. It was very cold, and there was little heating. The waiter was nice, but was slow to get our food, which we waited about 45 minutes to get. The salad that I had, which was one of the cheaper items on the menu, was small and not as fresh as I had hoped. It was also difficult to find parking, but that's probably because we came at the prime dinner hour.

The HP Pavilion is relatively clean and has pretty friendly staff. They also sell food, but most of it is expensive and it is all junk food (hot dogs, chips, ice cream). There are always parking problems anytime you go here, so make sure you know where to park in advance!

What I like best about this place is that they actually make the gelato there, and the gelato is not quite as fattening as regular ice cream. The place is clean and has a couple tables to sit down and eat your gelato while watching passerbys outside. They have quite a variety of flavors, and many I have never heard of. If you're in La Jolla, you must pay this place a visit!osts and comments here

This Italian restaurant is very much like a French restaurant, in terms of the food, prices, and portions. The waitresses are really helpful. This restaurant is usually pretty full, so be sure to make reservations a day or so in advance. The food is delicious and fresh. You can even sit by the pizza ovens to watch how the cooks make the food right in front of you. I would recommend getting pasta, but make sure to get the "large," not the "small" unless you have a small stomach.

I had a mediocre experience at the Chestnut Bakery. The cakes they have there are a little too sweet and they were out of coffee when I came. The pasteries are unusually expensive, approximately $5-6. There are lots of way better bakeries throughout San Francisco. The only thing I like about this bakery though was that it was not full, and you can find a comfortable place to sit down. posts and comments here

Pluto's is the healthiest cafe/restaurant you can think of. They only serve salads, and a few sandwiches as well. The prices are really cheap, you will spend the same amount of money at McD's. The salads are really good and they give you a biiiggg plate of it and a piece of bread (good as well). You can choose seven toppings for your salad. The decor is nice as well, but I wish there were more places to sit down inside, because the place is practically always full (and for good reason).

My eating experience at Cafe Baklava was superb. We chose to sit outside, and even though it was quite cold, they had heaters outside, which I thought was very considerate. The food here was delicious! My meal was relatively healthy and came with vegetables and it did not seem to contain as much fat as at other restaurants. The location is very convenient and the prices are fair.

I loved this restaurant! The food was delicious and the decor was really colorful. They give you the option of sitting either outside (where it is often noisy, especially if there's good weather) or inside. The portions are generally pretty big and I couldn't finish my meal. I ordered a smoothie, and it was better than Jamba Juice, and slightly cheaper too. I also got a brownie sundae, and it turned out to be HUGE (but delicious), so I ended up taking it home.

The bed was extremely comfortable and well-made (loved the pillows). The pool was heated and open till 12am. My room was large, though a bit dated.
