This is the last time I use a UPS Store. Never have I had such a ridiculous experience.\r
\r
I brought 7 packages to the UPS Store to be shipped from San Francisco to North Carolina, as I was moving. I got there on Saturday about 30-60 minutes before closing. Ground pickup was already done for the day, so it had to wait until Monday. \r
\r
As I was leaving for China the next day for a one week trip, it was no big deal. Packages would arrive shortly after I returned from the trip. Email me, if you need anything, I will not be able to check my cell phone, I tell them. I leave my credit card info so they can charge on Monday while I am in China.\r
\r
I find out a week later the packages arrived in North Carolina but are intercepted as return to shipper. I have no idea why. I check my email, and see a message from my credit card company. ""Call us for information about recent high-risk activity on your card"" it says. I call them and find out the UPS charge was declined for fraud. \r
\r
I call the UPS Store and say, it's fixed, charge it, and deliver my packages. Intercept the intercept, call UPS and fix this. And by the way, why did you not email me before requesting return to shipper?? \r
\r
No explanation. After several weeks of trying, all they can say is ""we can't do anything"", ""our system is not set up to let us make more than one intercept"", ""we have our own support number... but it's only 9-5pm"", ""corporate says we can't do anything"". In the end, they want to charge me almost $600 for my packages going and coming back to San Francisco. And another $600 to ship them properly. No thanks. Had my boxes shipped Fedex Ground, arrived no problem. Also $250 cheaper. Still working with my credit card company on this one.
