Best

Racine's ALWAYS delivers on all fronts. This may not be five star dining (nor is it intended to be), but it's excellent homestyle cooking with enough interesting choices for every...

Worst

So I have gone to Racines quite a few times during my various times living in denver. Always the same. Great people watching. Fun atmosphere. Lousy service. Food is okay. I don'...

Great Atmosphere 4/14/2006

To tell you the truth, I thought that the atmosphere was better than the food. It was very comfortable there and all of the staff was very friendly. The food is very good. My complaint is that so many other restaraunts serve this same type of food. The menu lacks in originality and that is the biggest disappointment with the whole restaraunt. I reccomend this restaraunt if you are looking for a place with good food and a good atmosphere. If you are looking for something really different than I would go somewhere else. more

Great ambiance and Service 2/21/2006

Not only a restaurant where everything is served fresh, but their bakery items are to die for. Even if you are stuffed from lunch or dinner, you'll want to take home a sweet pastry for later. And you probably WILL be stuffed, for their portions are large enough for two. I love their fresh salads at lunchtime and their helpful staff always leave me room to linger and chat over a cup of freshly brewed coffee or tea. Come to think of it, I've been to Racines for breakfast, lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Their new location has a charming ambiance, as well. more

Great Desserts! 2/10/2006

Racines is a really chic restaurant with a great deal of character! They have a good menu with a large variety, but I happen to think they have great desserts! I had a chocolate, chocolate, chocolate cake which came highly recommended by our server! The service was great and my whole party left there with a smile! more

Affordable, Classy, Racines 11/3/2005

Located in Capitol Hill neighborhood, this restaurant is an affordable place to have a very nice meal. 6th and Grant. The food is really good with my favorite dish being the ‘Nutty Cheese Salad’. They serve steak, fajitas, chicken, pasta, and anything in between. There is a parking garage adjacent to the restaurant which makes parking a breeze. There is not usually a long wait considering the restaurant is spacious yet usually full. more

Love the new location. . . 9/21/2005

Racine's is one of my favorite new places for outdoor dining. It's great to sit on the patio on a Saturday afternoon and sip white wine while working my way through one of their huge salads. They have an amazing dessert menu, as well, and I keep promising myself to save room for one of them. more

Great food, atmosphere, location 9/21/2005

On the edge of the gayborhood of Capitol Hill, Racines offers a great atmosphere and decent wine selection. Definitely shabby chic, Racines is equally welcoming whether you are in jeans or a suit. The food itself is stellar. Also a great place for people watching, whether inside or on the veranda. more

Good food, good value 7/17/2005

Racines has always had great food, but they now have a great atmosphere to go along with it. They are now located in a new building on Sherman St., complete with their own parking garage. I would describe their food as bar food made with more upscale standards than your typical bar. My favorite dish is the eggplant fajitas, but with the generous portions, I usually end up getting an appetizer, like artichoke dip and crudite, and it's just as yummy as everything else on their menu. Oh, and their margaritas are stupendous! more
