My son started here when I first went back to work. It was such a comfort to have him near me downtown. During those first months, I was able to visit on my lunch hour. The caretakers are loving and warm. My son received excellent care here. We even took baby sign language classes with the teachers.

This is a no nonsense place with good therapists who know what they are doing.
There are no fluffy robes or nifty slippers but every therapist here can deliver a good massage for what is aching you. They are not too bad on price either and they often can get you in on the same day that you call.

They can be used for short or long term job assignments. They have all nannies fill out an extensive application that asks questions from the nannies form of discipline they prefer to education to family preferences. This is an awesome company.

I took my tuxedo in to this place to be altered before my wedding. I had lost a good deal of weight and needed both the pants and jacket to be taken in. The lady who measured me was very professional and thorough. In a friendly manner, she explained how the tux should be cut and how it should fit my body type. I left it and picked it up three days later, where I was able to try it on. It fit beautifully and when I wore it to my wedding the next week, I looked dashing...according to my wife.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for professional alterations at a fraction of the cost.

If you ever have a pet emergency, this is the place to go. We one time saw a cat get hit by a car. Amazingly, it was still alive, and we couldn't very well leave it in the street to die. We picked it up with a blanket and drove it straight to Alameda East. It was late at night and we couln't think of any other place to take it. Sure enough, they were able to take the cat into their care. The cat made it, although it took awhile to heal. The cat was never claimed by anyone, but it was adopted. BTW, if you go there and it looks familiar, it's because they're featured on Animal Planet for a ER-type pet show.

Trying to find a washing machine on Saturday or Sunday is a lost cause, but I like this place during the weekdays. They have good machines but not a lot of space to fold clothes. The cafe next door has ice cream and coffee while you wait and it'll help you cool down a bit.
