Although I’ve only been to Devil’s Food for breakfast and brunch on the weekends, they’re more than just a breakfast food restaurant. “Bakery” is actually in their name, but they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as teatime. They’re open early every day (except Monday, their day off); during the week and on Sundays they close in the afternoon, but on Friday and Saturday nights they stay open until midnight. Aside from the fantastic hours, the food is unbelievably good: the excellent recipes are prepared using all-natural foods, and the coffee they serve is from a top-notch local company. The “devil” theme keeps things interesting, too: the walls of the ladies’ restroom are painted with a mural of Adam and Eve, and the walls of the men’s restroom feature a mural of Robert Johnson selling his soul to the devil.

Tacos Jalisco's Mexican menu is extensive with authentic tastes. The service is quick and friendly. However, parking can at times be a real challenge.
The chicken "Hard" tacos and tostadas are a favorite as are the smothered burritos.

They have a wonderful selection of desserts at very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly. They also have a good selection of non-dessert pastries. Their cakes are sure to impress!

This Common Grounds location in Highlands (see downtown location) is truly a neighborhood hotspot. From the crying baby in the stroller to the students studying intently (or at least pretending to) on the free WiFi, the atmosphere here is comfortable and truly local.
Westword called it "the quintessential neighborhood coffee nest"

This place is a central fixture in the thriving Highlands neighborhood. There is plenty of seating, a great selection of books on the shelf lined walls, and a very comfortable feel overall.
Perks: Neighborhood/local feel, lots of seating, free WiFi, excellent coffee, great people-watching.

A Denver institution, Child's Pastry deserves its hard-earned reputation as a topnotch provider of cakes and confections. I am most knowledgeable about their wedding cakes and they are just phenomenal! Great taste and presentation along with meticulous decor.
I attend many weddings and I can always tell right away when the wedding cake is from Child's, for there is always something distinctive about them--very creative and different. Plus, you can't beat the taste,\.
Yes, if you want a wedding cake that people will rave over, then Child's is definitely your best bet!

I have had several cakes made here and they all have been beautiful and very tasty too. They have a wonderful raspberry filling that is the best. They have a vast selection of flavors to choose from. Very professional service. Would highly recommend. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for very special occasions. Order early in the summer months, there are a lot of weddings for them to keep up with.

Whether you are looking for a cupcake or a wedding cake, Cakes By Karen will have it all! They have wonderfully moist cakes in so many different flavors, it will be hard to decide! I had a chocolate cake with chocolate filling delivered to my husband and it was the best cake we have ever had! It was decorated so beautifully! I would highly recommend them for every cake! They are wonderful to work with!
